Yep, please try to avoid using iOS for Patreon if you can. Ite just Apple being greedy.

Extras should be up tomorrow. Still editing a little bit.

Thank you for posting this, I used to live near there until recently. What a goddamn mess this is.

New video is up. This one was tough to gather information for and edit to YouTube's standards, so the bonuses will be in a couple of days. It covers Technopolis' relationship with doujin and focuses particularly on the X68000 series. Thanks for watching. youtu.be/u2gqoxaUjN8

Cold weather and a cracked tooth (I think, it's hard to tell with Trigeminal Neuralgia) are knocking me down so next video is slightly delayed for final version. I am not built for snow and ice.

So , obviously I am affected by the current political upheavals on multiple fronts, so bear with me - Patreon early version should still be out fairly quickly (video is done, i just need to renarrate and get music in there), but slowed up slightly. Can't narrate well when this unnerved.

Still working on revisions (the Patreon "early WIP" version of the next video should be about next weekish or so). The final version should be out at the end of the month, barring day job and health stuff.

First scan of 2025, it's the Joypolis Perfect Guide! Thank you so much to all who donated, please enjoy nearly 100 pages of SEGA Joypolis and Galbo info from 1997 💙 archive.org/details/Joyp...

Remember the game Kiss: Psycho Circus? That FPS featuring the Kiss band running on the Lithtech Engine I've made a repack of the full game with fixes to run it on modern PCs, just install and it's ready to play, no extra tinkering required: mega.nz/file/KaZnnQJ...

Fun retro pickup today for a couple bucks at a nearby store I like - The Mansion of Hidden Souls for Saturn. SACOM adventure games are always pretty charming even if they sometimes miss the mark a bit.

Work continues on the X68000 doujin soft video. It will most likely be 1/2 a general history of how it relates to Pasoket, Technopolis, etc, and 1/2 a look at important and notable titles (Cho Ren Sha, Horror of Cridewell and it's sequel, SPRITE) Making it SFW is gonna be a trick and a half tho @_@

"Without downloading any new pics, what's your energy going into 2025?"

Team Innocent: The Point of No Return for the PC-FX is finally in English for its 30th anniversary! This anime sci-fi adventure features beautiful pixel art, pre-rendered CG backgrounds, an energetic cast, an apprehensive atmosphere, and a dramatic story. Links are in the thread below!

Anyone interested in reading an interview with Now Productions' Masami Shimotsuma? That plus more can be be found in the final West Mansion update of 2024! splatterhouse.kontek.net/new.html @ravenskull.bsky.social @chibiufo.bsky.social @hg101.bsky.social #Splatterhouse

With the post-video Q&A stuff done (thanks again to @detchibe.bsky.social for helping me cover one of the absolutely toughest objectionable content-wise questions I've ever got), that's Saburo Jinguji put to bed. January we'll be looking at Sharp X6800 doujins, barring more craziness.

Another round of Intellivision Archive, as we hit on the first three of six releases for 1981. It’s a small set of games but a high quality one, as PBA Bowling, Boxing and Astrosmash show:

Anyone have any idea what this SameGame variant was? Comes from a March 1996 Famitsu. Parody ad? Or did we get Puyo Puyo Die Hard?

Life goals, apparently. From LOGIN's June 1985 issue, with about as much context as I'm providing right now.

So here's a cool thing, an advertisement for Enix's 2nd ever programming submissions context / thinly disguised recruitment drive. All sorts of titles came from these contests, including Bokosuka Wars. From the book "Legendary PC Games of the 80s."

Beginning the Migration process from X to BlueSky. Expect the usual retro stuff, and some reposts if I can import them properly.
