A lot of people (maybe most) have the assumption that Trump would need a declaration from Congress to deploy force into Iran. This is false. The War Powers Resolution of 1973 gives POTUS the ability to deploy forces (into Iran) for up to 2-months, as long as he notifies Congress within 48-hours.
