I called my senators to demand a no vote on cloture and a no vote on the CR. Did you?

Free Mahmoud Khalil. It's important to protect speech, even, perhaps especially, when we don't agree what's being said. If we don't support other people's First Amendment rights, then who will protect ours? We have to all be in this together.

As a Jewish person it is so uniquely painful to exist in a world where Jews are the ones making lists of people for the government to target.

Time to bring back the fail whale. 🐳

I honestly don’t hate the picture of all the Chicago cops protecting Tesla because showing a bunch of armed agents of the state openly enforcing Elons will is revealing the truth of our situation much more clearly than anything protestors could show

If we lived in a world that was half just, this would be the official leader of the Democratic Party.

Seattle got the memo. #ballard

Pure fascism: the put down of the freedom of assembly.

Will the library be filled with coloring books?

“Illegal” doing a lot of heavy lifting here as Trump matches towards being a dictator. Trump can’t be allowed to define it contrary to the 1st Amendment & rules regarding private property. But beyond that, it should provoke an uproar. Peace protest is an American value.

Finally managed to get an Icelandic hot dog at Bærjarins Beztu during yet another snow storm. Would I do it again? Sure. Is it a must have food stop while in Reykjavik? Not really.

Geyser eruption at Geysir during yesterday’s Icelandic roadtrip.

On my final morning in Reykjavik, I’m enjoying a coffee at Reykjavik Roasters on the recommendation of @nickmurison.bsky.social. Iceland has been good to me. I cannot wait to return to explore more of this beautiful, friendly country.

Our state stands strong with Washington’s Ukrainian community.

Perhaps he should flee to Russia. Seems like his kind of country.

Þhingvellir was cold, windy, and beautiful today. I need to return to the intersection of the American and European continental plates at Silfra to go snorkeling with @babssy.bsky.social @authnopuz.xyz

As I wake up and read about yesterday's events in the USA, I'm absolutely disgusted. To all of my international friends, I'm sorry. This is not who we are as a country. I hope we can recover from this unfolding disaster. 🇺🇦

Reykjavik has been amazing the past few days during the OAuth Security Workshop. I look forward to road tripping around the Great Circle route with @authnopuz.xyz and @babssy.bsky.social tomorrow!

This street art would be equally at home in my neighborhood of Ballard in Seattle as it is in Reykjavik.

Good morning from the OAuth Security Workshop! #osw10

I can’t think of a better way to shake off the jet lag than breakfast at Sandholt in Reykjavik. Brioche, fried egg, smoked salmon, smoked cream cheese, salmon roe, and arugula. With a cup of strong coffee on the side.

The baked goods at Sandholt are absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for the recommendation @letdown102.bsky.social.

Good morning Iceland, the 29th country I’ve visited (if my jet lagged math is right…). #travel

How can Uber users be sure to never get matched with a Tesla driver? 3x matches today at 3 different price points, all with the same driver. I had to select an Uber XL to avoid getting a Tesla. I called CS, they were sympathetic, offered me some credits, but no mechanism to block Teslas.

The most shameful betrayal of an ally by a U.S. President in modern history.

El Capitan displays a massive American flag upside down—the traditional signal of distress or extreme emergency.

Has anyone called Bitcoin “Dunning-Krugerrand” yet?

She’s not my senator, but I absolutely love her attitude toward the billionaire unelected bureaucrat.

I ran into Cynthia Erivo at Haneda Airport on Saturday before returning home. My son was trying to buy some snacks and she helpfully suggested that the wasabi pistachios were not for him, or her. Clueless as always, I had no idea who she was. My wife and daughter were losing their minds!

This is the way

Tonight's my last night in Tokyo. I'm sad to be leaving this wonderful place, but happy to be heading home... for two nights. On Monday I leave for Reykjavik and the OAuth Security Workshop. Work hard, play hard.

Drinking Butterbeer at the Warner Brothers Harry Potter Studio tour. #tokyo

Spent the day in Yokohama. Cup Noodle museum was a blast! I made my own Cup Noodle, enjoyed a delicious pour over from Minato Coffee, visited Chinatown, and rode the Shinkansen back to Tokyo. Ended the day with dinner at a 230 year old soba noodle restaurant recommended by a fellow identerati.

As a former geneticist who taught about these differences 30 years ago, I’m glad to see Judge Reyes using science in the courtroom.
