what people seem to believe is that there is a large number of criminal, layabout immigrants who can be easily found and deported. they support doing so snd are dismayed by the deportation of otherwise law abiding people. the problem is that the criminal group is imaginary!

Again, this isn't Los Angeles. This is happening right now outside an ICE building in SF:

A reason im not moved by the “don’t give the trump administration the pretext they’re looking for” is that we would not dare say that about any anti-authoritarian protest movement in literally any other country

I'm a believer in nonviolent resistance for moral reasons, and I think it can be incredibly powerful when well-planned and sustained, but don't tell me violence doesn't work. The people successfully rolling back my rights were sending bomb threats to children's hospitals.

the pay is shit, everyone — even other law enforcement agencies — hates you and thinks you're stupid brutes, your coworkers are on the news ziptying grandfathers and kindergarteners every day, your quotas are laughably unrealistic and your bosses spend all day going on tv, what's not to love

The one good thing about Trump is that he’s made clear most conservatives don’t believe in freedom, the constitution, the rule of law, democracy or any of the basic tenets of our way of life. They only care about white supremacy and naked greed.

do you ever think about how this is all happening for no reason at all?

notable that the poster child for morally empty ambition has finally figured out that there are gains to be reaped from opposing the administration's actions

lmaoooooo hell yeah LA

It's interesting how quick "libs" are to blame protesters for violence rather than the thugs literally kidnapping people out of their homes, or the pigs shooting "less than lethal rounds at peoples heads. Who's side are yall on?

Everything that’s happened over the past six months has been a response to an imaginary crisis. There is no immigrant invasion. No trade crisis. No scientific or governance crisis. Just people completely high off their own supply trying to fundamentally reorder society. None of this had to happen.

So uh… Greta Thunberg is a prisoner of the IDF after they illegally raided her ship carrying aid in international waters?

1 in 12 Americans live in California. 1 in 35 Americans live in LA County. LA is America

not the main issue here but i'd really appreciate it if democratic politicians spoke out in support of big-city life and culture with the same energy and reverence that all politicians have for small towns los angeles is "real america" and so are all the other big cities the president hates

Crashing the fuck out like this over 100 people throwing rocks and bottles really only makes them seem insanely jittery and detached. Sad!

We hear about how pro-immigrant side is extreme. There is literally nothing more extreme than this statement. Being willing to sacrifice the country’s foundations for an evil goal

the funniest thing about the “ice agents are human beings with families” line is that there is no evidence to support the claim. oh they’re real people? what are their names? as far as I’m concerned they’re the T-1000 until proven otherwise
