The left-wing circular firing squad is never helpful, and especially not now. It just allows the bad actors on the right, as you’ve named, to keep getting away with it while we destroy ourselves from within.

And how many people just couldn’t be bothered to vote at all (or were victims of voter suppression—I wish we could tell how many people were affected that way vs. pure apathy).

Agreed 100%. The later versions may be all spiffed up and slimmed down, but they're not a patch on the originals for sheer creepiness. Not just the voices (though DEFINITELY the voices), but also the very obvious fact that you can tell there's still a HUMAN under there. ::shudder::

It’s amazing how they don’t even know what that word means.

RIGHT?? And I think corporations are out of control, and so are billionaires/capitalism, and I think we should, I dunno, look out for each other. Wow, what a radical I am...

He's not totally gone to the dark side (character limit issues!), but I do find it shocking whenever he says something Boomerish. Meanwhile, I've been told in a GenX forum online that I must be a GenZ, because "no GenXer would say something like that." Ummmmmmmmm....

Maybe this was the true meaning of "Whatever" after all? How depressing.

MY QUESTION EXACTLY. It's not all of us, but it is WAY too many. My own (totally unscientific) observation is that we seem to have split into more Boomer-like, and more like Millennials. And it's not an age-determined split. I'm more of a Millennial, and my younger brother is a Boomer. Go figure.

They REALLY need to stop speaking for an entire generation when they spout this crap. I'm GenX, too, and I couldn't disagree with them more. (That said, I keep learning a good chunk of GenX is... not like me. Sigh.)

You, too, eh? They are such bastards.

My gods, that's practically a miracle. I'm so happy for you!!

Clearly. I still feel bad for Douglas Adams, though. He doesn't deserve to be associated with any of this madness at all.

Seriously?? That's... bizarre. If anything, it's about the futility/absurdity of power (and the people who hold it). But if we know anything about EM, it's that he's not very bright, so I suppose it's more than possible he completely misread it. 🤦♀️

Poor Douglas Adams, may he rest in peace…I read Hitchhiker’s when I was 13 and am not trying to take over the world. I’m legitimately not sure why fans of that particular book would be led to that desire, to be honest. Plenty of others would be more likely.

It was such fun to meet you and Miles—and to see all the Gallifrey series love!

The One Doctor is an all-time favorite. I’ve been thinking about giving it a re-listen!

2005 (not being pedantic, but to make sure they can find it without confusion). And as someone else said, Nine is definitely not bald! 😉

It’s also in a cluster of equally convenient hotels that are within easy walking distance. I’m quite sure this is why Gally has always been held at the airport.

Bear in mind that, while being at the airport isn’t sexy, it’s SUPER easy for anyone flying in. You don’t have to figure out how to navigate LA or how you’re going to get anywhere else. You can’t beat it for convenience.

It’s a very correct one. It would be hard to think of someone I’ve met who is more of a sweetheart than she is, honestly. Everyone gets a hug, too.

It’s such a Katy thing to say, really. She’s such a sweetheart.

It always amazes me now that I originally thought Gallifrey would be boring because it was “political.” How wrong was I?!?The only upside to avoiding it for so long is that I didn’t have to wait around forever for new sets to drop once I finally saw the light!

She’s incapable of making a consistent argument and is condescending about it at the same time, which is why I blocked her. She’s a lost cause. Let her go and move on.
Also, just read Josh’s piece, and he’s spot on as always. I’m glad he’s on our side.

Absolutely. Same with the one I sent her.
