Those numbers ARE the result of gerrymandering. lol

You just described gerrymandering. Well done!

Mailloux really should be packaged away this summer, either for a real #1 RHD or that 2C.
Thanks to his points production and Laval doing really well this year, his value is pretty high and I doubt it will translate to the NHL considering his rather low IQ and defensive skills.

I'd love him too, but I think Anaheim will try to unload Zegras before MacTavish, sadly.
If only Lou could retire so a new GM starts a much needed rebuild phase in NYI, we might have a shot at Barzal (and/or Dobson).

Loved that you brought up Markov though... he did have a decent few years after that 2nd injury.

Should we find a replacement for next season for 2C? Ideally. Bennett?
Should we trade Dach right now? Absolutely not. His value is abyssal with those last injuries and the return for him would not be worth more keeping him and hoping he can turn into a good 3rd liner some time in the future.

Même dans un système bipartite comme aux USA, il arrive qu'une majorité d'électeurs perdent leurs élections.

In 2 years, Demidov or Hage could be that C we're looking for. Until then, I agree with you.
Anyway, we'd sell low if we traded Dach away atm, might as well give him another chance if we can't land Cozens (or Barzal) for a reasonable price.

Wouldn't be surprised if Demidov had to pay 25% tariffs on his Gatorade and sticks soon...
Those manchild bullies all act the same.

Another reminder that most sports players are rich uneducated jocks and their opinion on intelligent matters are most of the time irrelevant/dumb.

Morissette has 11 games in the NHL... he's simply a very nice guy.

Markov is the highest hockey IQ defenseman Mtl has had in the past 30 years. IDK if he's a good teacher and if his secrets are teachable, but, if the answer to these questions is remotely close to a yes, he needs to be hired.

Excellente analyse.

People were also saying that about Derrick Pouliot, Cam Barker, Ryan Murphy, etc.
More recently, David Jiricek could be added to the list.
I'll be glad if he becomes our Evan Bouchard though.

I'll be very surprised if Mailloux's defense ever becomes good enough to be a second pair guy.
I'd personnaly move him while his value is still relatively high because of his offensive AHL stats for a better RHD.

I understand... but, in those past 30 years, I've seen more than enough of those "barely made the playoffs" runs and they're the worst. Too often.
I'm now taking the excitement of seeing a young star emerge over 2 weeks of "omg we might make the playoffs (and get eliminated in the first round)!" 😅

I myself am entirely back on team tank.
Nothing would piss me most than end up 4 points out of the playoffs and pick 12th-15th instead of 5th-8th.

It's always going to be "what we could have gotten for him at his peak last summer" VS "what we're actually going to get now that the illusion has worn off".

Moi aussi, j'aime mieux blâmer le manque de vision de Matthews qui laisse le centre vide.

Meanwhile, Matthews is confused that he can't start golfing in a week.

Pretty much everytime I see some hockey players' disappointing political views it's a reminder that most of them are rich undereducated jocks and I shouldn't be surprised.

Already 30, under contract for 5 more seasons.
Chicago might have to retain 2-3M to move him and expect any return.

Effectivement, aucune garantie.
