It was the Starmer UK Government demand that forced Apple to withdraw the advanced tools from UK users. The tools are to the best of my knowledge, still available for users in USA (and other countries).

Worth noting that instead of demanding access to tax avoiding Trusts held in UK Overseas Secrecy Jurisdictions to recoup the £Billions lost through tax avoidance each year, the UK Government has opted to target UK citizens' right to privacy.

It won't matter which platform you use, Starmer's authoritarian regime want access to all your data. Big tech can't be trusted
Stop using Cloud services, store data / backups locally (as we did in the old days), keep at least two encrypted copies and store them in different secure locations.

Because U.K police forces are agents of the British state who operate for the British state.
They are not 'benign' public servants as depicted in far too many T.V dramas.
Being told we're 'policed by consent' is amongst the biggest lies the UK state perpetuates. Were you ever asked to consent?
