The art in Absolute Wonder Woman is gorgeous.

Yeah that wasn't much resistance. It had about as much teeth as that "leaked" memo giving Israel 30 days to allow aid through (that 30 days ending just after the election), that turned out to be a hollow threat.

Really? You think your average non-voter decided to sit there and listen to a 25 hour speech? I don't think he brought attention to anything but himself.

Once again Democrats take a victory lap on an entirely symbolic gesture that did nothing

Meanwhile Democrats take a victory lap for a completely symbolic gesture filibustering nothing.

The people are rallied up, it's the politicians who aren't. I saw the same people who voted against cloture praising this filibuster against nothing. This was a PR stunt for the book tour Netanyahu supporting Democrats wanting to keep control of the party when progressives are kicking their ass.

Agreed but I wouldn't blame the voters so much. Just for starters it causes a double down effect, (It's really not going to convince them vote next time, and we need them) also because I couldn't ask a Palestinian American to vote for someone who supported their entire family being wiped out.

Oh look Democrats giving themselves a pat on the back for a completely symbolic gesture, that doesn't offend their CEO donors. This was a PR stunt so another book tour Democrat can be elected party leadership so they can protect the status quo from progressives.

Put pressure on the book tour Democrats and let them know we aren't satisfied with crumbs anymore. Protesting against Trump is important, but unless they get the non voters (40% could but don't vote, while 31% voted Trump and 29% voted Kamala) they won't win, and we should protest them too.

This entire filibuster (which didn't actually filibuster anything) was a PR stunt to so Cory Booker could make a bid as Democratic party leadership, so they can protect the status quo and Israel from progressives.

2/2 Follow their own laws about aiding countries who violate human rights laws, a rise in taxes for the billionaires and lower taxes for the rest, upgrade our infrastructure, a plan to fill as many judges seats with handpicked leftists, support labor unions, this is just top of my head.

1/2 Need a plan first. So far I haven't heard anyone besides Bernie propose anything. Medicare for all would be a good start, raise the minimum wage, create protections for trans people, and actually write laws to protect our Democracy rather than relying on norms.

2/2 Not to mention maybe speak out against a genocide, and ongoing war crimes? Honestly there is nothing the Democrats who supported Israel can do to win my vote. The only reason I voted Harris was because of the "leaked" memo giving Israel 30 days to allow aid. Turns out that was a non threat.

1/2 What will they do (besides undo everything Trump has done, which they didn't do last time) if they were given power again? Project 2025 was the culmination of 60 years worth of planning. What is their 60 year plan besides defend the status quo? Bernie seems to be the only one with a plan.

3/3 Nothing scares them more than progressives who aren't happy with his support for genocide. 25 hours filibustering absolutely nothing isn't enough to forgive 50k dead children. We don't need gestures we need a revolution (peaceful one). 20 years voting for the lesser evil has gotten us here.

2/3 Do you know why both the right and the left love arguing over identity politics and culture war? Because everything about it is symbolic and no matter who wins their billionaire donors don't lose a dime. This feels like a PR stunt to distract us and a bid for Corey Booker to be party leadership.

1/3 I would agree, but what would be better is putting an actual plan together for the next time they are in power. I've been voting Democrat since 2004 and every time they get the whole house / senate they manage to do nothing. How is it we don't already have protections for trans people?

I have been loving the absolute series as a whole, but the relationship between Diana and Circe, and the art make this my favorite so far.
