I will say, TMNT: Splintered Fate for the Switch is actually a lot of fun. It’s one of the few things my daughter will play with me, because she’s of the age where she’s too busy and Dad’s not cool enough.

A moment of absolute honesty. After my ACL surgery and the following restriction in mobility as I heal, it’s made me very aware of our fragility. The worst has been having too much time in my own head. It’s become hard not to doom spiral.

Every time I look at the news, I momentarily wish an SS agent would go rogue and eliminate the biggest threat to the quality of American life. To see someone just step up and be the hero we need. Is that too much to ask for?

So I ordered a new bed. Today, the frames and mattresses, and sheet set shows up. Tomorrow the headboards arrive. And then the brackets to attach the headboards doesn’t arrive until the 13th………really?

I’ve still got a minimum of 9 weeks before I can return to work. Probably closer to 12 realistically. The boredom of recovery is real. I think I need to deep dive into some Mork Borg and try to plan some games. Next step, find friends.
