A great little interview with Lilly Wachowsky I had previously missed because it was posted by Netflix Espana m.youtube.com/watch?v=QwYB...

A solid and very charming Vampire flick from Mexico. It feels a tad long, but I still think this is a must watch. It feels a lot like the Universal Monster movies of the 30’s, with some cultural flourishes. It’s a good time. 3.5/5

Now watching El Vampiro (1957)

There’s some fun hammy moments with characters taking everything way to seriously and a early performance from Suzanne Somers (a real treat), but it’s not enough to keep this ridiculous made for tv horror from feeling dull. 2.5/5

Now watching Ants! (1977)

Big Mood

Rewatching In My Skin (2002) One of my favorite films from the French Extreme movement, one of the most unnerving films Ive ever seen and one of the absolute best psychological horrors Directed by a Woman.

Current Vibe

This soldier comes home dramatic serial killer undead cannibal horror was quite a treat. It’s a slow burn, but when it goes off the rails, it really goes off the rails. 3.5/5 Trigger warning: It’s a really fake dog, but there is a dog strangulation scene

Now watching Deathdream (1974)

Oh, he broke broke

Some headlines are a real 🎢

Picked up some weirdo flicks before Trump puts all my favorite boutique labels out of business. #filmsky

Just came in the mail and I’m very happy to own one of the most disturbing psychodrama’s I’ve ever seen. It completely skipped the blu-ray generation straight to 4K after being out of print for over a decade. Women really do make the most unnerving horror films. #filmsky

The cloned almost Dire Wolves are pretty damned cute.

This flick has a lot going for it. A haunted skyscraper, weird alcoholic psychic guy, undead mummified guy living in the walls and the worst late 80’s fashion you’ve ever seen. It’s also unbelievably dull. 2/5

Now watching Dark Tower (1987)

Went to a comic convention and snagged some oversized 70’s Bronze Age stuff. Glasses for size.

This is getting ridiculous

This B flick with a budget was better than I was expecting. It’s kinda a cross between a psycho hippie slasher film and Sunset Blvd. The film stock is beautiful and there’s several great performances from older actresses who were stars in the 20’s and 30’s. 3.5/5

Now watching Hollywood Horror House aka Savage Intruder (1970)

When you finally negatively impact the lives of apolitical gamers.

It’s beautifully shot, well acted and has a clever script. I think there’s a great slow burn Giallo in here, but the only surviving sound mix sounds like shit. I’m gonna give it the bare minimum good rating and I hope the original sound mix is found one day. It’s almost a deal breaker. 3/5

On our quest to watch every Gialli ever, tonight we’re watching Ragazza tutta nuda assassinata nel parco (1972)

The best films I watched March 2025 Once Upon A Time In The West (1968) Heat (1995) The Home And The World (1984) Micky 17 (2025)

my new theory is that once you have a certain amount of money and wealth you start to go crazy and detach from reality. that number is different for everyone. for me it's $20

RIP Val Kilmer. Thanks for Tombstone and Heat.

Took a break from cooking to check Twitter and see how mad Elon was about shelling out millions in a Wisconsin Judicial election and still loosing. Man, he’s so mad, he’s not even Tweeting. He hasn’t been this mad since Grimes took him to court.

Cory Booker is explaining the difference between Superboy, Superboy Prime, the Superboy who became Kal-El and the Superboy from the pocket dimension designed for Superboy.
