Apparently he used to paint them with the Hammer leading ladies in between takes. King.

Underneath all of those articles is a deep fury that Bluesky punishes instead of rewarding lazy and/or hostile engagement farming. Try to build a following here with trolling and slurs and you'll find yourself in a ghost town. To them that is simply intolerable.

OK folks, really need your help. Trans Pride NI is getting zero funding, nothing from the council or Belfast Pride and if they don't hit £5k, it won't happen. They're over £2k now. Can we get this to target? Please share. Thank you ❤️🏳️‍⚧️

John Bolton on BBC R4 PM claimed the only ballistic missile attack in history was on Israel by Iran. What were the 3,000 V2s launched at Britain then? No wonder people struggle to understand history and geopolitics when nonsense like this goes unchallenged?

I have at least two people in my replies who are extremely upset that I suggested the two political assassinations of democratic politicians, yes even white ones, counts as an act of Jim Crow style terror and what is alarming is that these two accounts seem to be real people.

Y’know what’s cooler than being asked to illustrate a dinosaur for a museum? Being asked to illustrate Velociraptor for a museum. Veloci-flippin’-raptor! Feeling very grateful and excited right now. 🦖

“I’ve had to choose between the podcast and my wife and kids,” Livingstone continued. “She issued an ultimatum. They’re gone. They took the dog. Also I lost my job. This is Andrew Hickey’s fault.”

RIP Sir Geoffrey Palmer. He came to Britain in 1955, becoming the first black university professor in Scotland. He is pictured here with his portrait, one of ten commissioned by the King to celebrate the Windrush generation to mark the Windrush 75th anniversary in 2023 www.bbc.com/news/article...

How to stop authoritarian takeovers, 6 simple lessons from history: 1. Build a broad pro-democracy coalition. No purity politics. Learn to work with people who annoy you. You can go back to dunking on them after democracy is safe.

Today's 'Russia Day' marks the path to the present-day Russian Federation. At #MSC2025, Yulia Navalnaya, widow of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, called to envision a future for her country without #Putin. Watch the full session: securityconference.org/msc-2025/age...

I know this is a losing battle and yet! I will die on this hill: SIX EPISODES IS NOT A SEASON IT IS A MINISERIES

This looks like the most unsurprising chart I've ever seen, but if you only read British media you'd lose your mind learning that this is the reality of it

Morning Bluesky. The first time this has happened in 20 years. This only raises tensions higher.

It's like the increasingly long-winded attempts to define "biological sex" which, ultimately, resulted in the SC declining to define it. We have "men's" and "women's" public toilets largely because of longstanding social convention, not because of some naturally occurring binary.

It's literally copied from a war bonds poster, and DHS got it from a Twitter white supremacist.

We've covered lots of spacecraft bits on Spacedock, but what do you actually attach them to? Find out on this weeks video covering spacecraft structures: www.youtube.com/watch?v=nyHb...

Ukrainians in the UK are facing a hidden crisis ✍️ Mubeen Bhutta

This is like when Russian oligarchs and, more recently, Chinese tech billionaires learned the difference between being a fantastically rich person and being in direct personal control of the state and its powers.

With pure joy, we can finally say that after 7 years of dogged campaigning, this barbaric law will be consigned to the history books. A petition by Oxford students began the campaign, which has ended in real change for society's most vulnerable. Our voices do matter. www.oxonld.uk/vagrancy-act...

Facebook has removed a link to my BBC programme about art history bc it "contains nudity". The nudity is... a picture of the shoulder of a classical statue? My mum used to have to do this for her Orthodox Jewish art students, so I'm not unfamiliar w fundamentalism. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b...

Another successful long running Liberal Democrat campaign. Congratulations @laylamoran.bsky.social!!!

Something leaflet delivery volunteers of ALL parties can get behind: Labour MP Anneliese Midgley has the first reading of her 10-minute rule bill on low-level letter boxes, which aims to ban those below a certain height in new housing developments.

"If we can support family carers just a little bit more, that would help so many of the problems that we have." @EdDavey.LibDems.org.uk

forever in our hearts* </3 *and probably the lining of our stomachs, which I doubt have fully recovered

Farage pretends to support Welsh steel. Meanwhile, his mate Trump is hitting the UK with brutal tariffs that target our steel industry. Nigel backs Trump all the way, then claims to stand with the workers paying the price. 🤦‍♂️

This is the equivalent of the Golden Rule but for "woke," and even that was too much for many to handle.

Music autistics! History autistics! Andrew Hickey autistics! Give @500songspodcast.bsky.social a follow, will you?

Really well-reported overview. The metastasization and political/geopolitical fallout of the Sahel insurgencies are an overlooked but central feature of the past 15 years in global politics. As much as any other development, they tell the history of that period, and the decades preceding it.

One of those times where it's necessary to point out that drafting the ECHR was led by David Maxwell Fyfe, a Scottish Conservative MP for Liverpool, MacMillan's Home Secretary and a prosecutor at Nuremberg. A functional party would trumpet it as a great Conservative achievement in the rule of law.

I wasn’t able to attend welfare protests. So I wrote about it all here. I wish I hadn’t had to. Not after countless forms, assessments, questioning, tribunals - hours bleeding out in the hope of being heard. But if you’re like me and want to survive, you learn to get good at it. #TakingThePip

Naval mines are powerful weapons. Clearance is dangerous work. Read about Royal Navy mine clearance off Libya in 2010

It's 20 years since the Glazer family took control over Manchester United in a £604m debt-funded buyout. BBC Verify calculations show £1.2bn has left the club in debt interest, debt repayments, dividends and fees to the Glazers. Read the findings here 👇 www.bbc.co.uk/sport/footba...

Lib Dem MP Max Wilkinson is celebrating victory in his campaign for solar energy generation technology to be included in all new homes as standard, the Lib Dems say. He introduced a 'Sunshine Bill' last year - the Govt now seems to have backed the idea

San Antonio police have walked back on a previous statement that there was no evidence of a hate crime in the killing of actor Jonathan Joss, with the police chief now calling the statement “premature.”

This result sees the Liberal Democrats GAIN Wokingham Council from No Overall Control (was already a Lib Dem minority).

I emailed the Women and Equalities Committee about this. Took me 5 minutes. You can do it, too. [email protected] @commonswec.parliament.uk Pass it on.

Gather round, friends! Did you suffer from morning sickness during your pregnancy OR do you care about women’s health OR do you want to feel enraged*? Well have I got a thread for you! *of course you do, you’re on Bluesky 1/
