“Progressive”

Dear manager, this week I acheived these goals. 1: I wrote a bullet point. 2: I wrote a second, equally clever bullet point. 3: Building on prior successful bullet points, I developed and implemented a third bullet point. 4: I drafted, edited and published a 4th bullet. 5: Egged a cybertruck

The Eagles should go visit Justin Trudeau to just rub more salt in the wound

In detective shows (even the good ones) love how suspects/witnesses interviewed in the field continue doing their tasks. Latest: Teen boy is interviewed about burying a newborn. Learns his girlfriend almost died from the birth. He continues changing a tire.

There are no lines at the Shoreline Costco. Also, the snack center (hot dogs, pizza) is closed for renovation. These two things may be related.

If you wanted to cut waste, fraud, and abuse, you would empower the inspectors general. If you wanted more waste, fraud, and abuse, you would fire them.

The Not My President Day rally in Olympia, Wash. Plug this photo into the Trump Attendance Estimator and you get 3 million people. A crowd the likes of which you’ve never seen.

This boycott isn’t going so well. Still a wait for the $1.50 hotdog and gas.

Great. Mr. Transparency will release Trump’s tax returns.

Nope. Not feeling old.

TRUMP WAR ON EASTER

Once again: Things were cheaper under Trump than Biden. Under Obama than Trump. Under Dubya than Obama. Under Clinton than Bush. Etc. Campaign’s over. Drop the b.s. or have it shoved in your face as prices rise, which they will unless there’s a depression. Then you can “celebrate.”

Great headline.

Out-of-context television.

$2.99 … those were the days.

Just turn the valve

Morning near Rainier.

A passage I just read in “James,” by Percival Everett. A not-so-subtle nod to politics today.

Have Gun. Will Unravel.

Republicans complaining that Amy Coney Barrett isn’t “conservative” enough. What’s conservative about delaying sentencing? “Tribal” is what they really mean. You’re either for Trump or against. The law and the Constitution are secondary.

“We’re at war!” “Trump should’ve backed that border bill last year, right?” “It could wait.”

Just screams mandate, doesn’t it?

Costco with shorter lines. Yes, please!

Saw this sign today. Interesting business combo: Weddings and mausoleum. “We Marry ‘Em and Bury ‘Em.”

"Prescription drug prices down, way down! Enjoy!" (IRA) "Many factories opening, America #1 in chips, winning and winning" (CHIPS Act) "Bridges being fixed and beautifully repaired, beautiful airports with millions of flights coming in, business up!" (Infrastructure)

Trump: “Is it true Matt Gaetz paid to get laid?” Aide: “Yes. Many times. That’s what the Ethics Committee is telling us.” Trump: “And the girls were girls?” Aide: “Yes. Plus, illegal drugs.” Trump: “Impressive. Let’s nominate him to be the chief law enforcement officer.”

Louisiana forbids public health workers from promoting COVID, flu and mpox shots

The only way to stop a bad man with a pun is good man with a gun.

I’m sure Americans who made this their No. 1 issue will be patient and thoughtful, even though he said nothing of the sort before the election.

Journalists fete fact-challenged man.

There’s still a Time magazine?

Those pronouns. So confounding.

According to a National Retail Federation study, Trump’s tariffs will result in Americans paying up to $24 billion more for clothing and $10.7 billion more for footwear. Home appliances will cost consumers up to $10.9 billion more, and toys will cost up to $14.2 billion more — a 55.8% price hike!

Reminder: A 24 page police report details a woman’s horrifying account of being drugged and raped by Pete Hegseth. (Currently, Hegseth is Trump’s nominee to lead the U.S. Department of Defense.) In 2017, a woman said she was the victim of a sexual assault perpetrated by Hegseth at a GOP women’s…

Is the “elderly” part of “patron” necessary? Would they say “young patron,” if he/she were, say, 30? Or “middle-aged?” Seems somewhat skeptical, even though they now have oodles of physical evidence, thanks to “gramps” or “granny,” of whatever they’re trying to imply.

Criminals are generally stupid, but online sleuths always treat them like Moriarity. “Why would he still have the gun?” “Why would he go out in public?” “Why would he have an incriminating manifesto?” I dunno. Maybe because he’s CRAZY! Like crazy enough to murder a man.

Perfect monetization of America’s lifestyle: Drive everywhere + fast food.

Let’s applaud The King of Debt (and Bankruptcies) for putting this guy in charge of fiscal sanity.

Bashar al-Assad’s biggest mistake? Not going on Joe Rogan.

The assassination of a health care executive has kicked off a health care debate. Only in America. Literally.

Is Eric Trump’s father-in-law available?
