The Telo makes the Slate look like a RAM HD.

Wow I didn't realize the Canoo is the same length as the Slate. I had no idea it was that small. These guys just need to get togeter.

When I was in college we didn't have damn delivery bots, we had burnouts in ratty old Toyotas and Novas.

I was at a college campus recently that was swarming with delivery bots. It was like a sci fi movie.

There may have been some price tweaks in the ~$30G range, but the Malibu is out of production, the Legacy will be soon and the Colorado starts at $32,000. The Escape is low on the Cars.com list because of its parts content.

We really do need to send someone up to get one of the cars. That would be more interesting to me than a Moon base.

He said we went up there, not we sent stuff up there. For All Mankind isn't a documentary, Chad.

Gotta squeeze that range! Although for unrelated reasons, the Cadillac sedans' mirrors are ridiculously small

I recently had a new beverage -- I forget which -- that talked about the premium feel of its Red Bull-style slim can.

They have been good about not trying to fix something that ain't broke

I'd suspect even minor parts replacement costs for that unicorn will balance out any upfront pricing.

The thrust of my ELR review was that for the same price you could get a CTS Coupe (the style) and a Chevy Volt (the tech), πŸ˜‚

I recall the pitch being fancy executive lady. I think it was like a claw in the middle of the rear seat.

Technically, Rivian was funded by Amazon, Slate is Bezos himself.

Honda SUVs usually have enormous center console bins with this in mind, but this is really all the reason you need to drive an HD truck!

I also recall a lot of stories in the old days (sadly, not that old) about male interior designers rubber-banding paper clips to their fingers to simulate long nails for testing knobs and buttons. πŸ™„

I recall interviewing the US head of Rolls Royce like a decade ago when they had a new concept vehicle that had some sort of high tech handbag holder, but I can't find photos of it.

Might as well throw the 47,000 Made in China Envisions into that pile and make it half a million from Asia.

A good time to point out that the lowest-priced car from an American brand that's still Made in USA is the $30,000 Ford Escape and there are only 3 cheaper ones from foreign brands now. americancarsandracing.com/2024/09/23/f... americancarsandracing.com/list/cheapes...

I’m in the middle of a week using public chargers and it still stinks. Also, aside from Tesla stations, the infrastructure around here hasn’t hardly improved in the past 5 years. Lots of charging deserts in well-populated areas.

My older brother had a Bullitt green one. I can still smell the vinyl and remember yanking the fresh air vent-pull so hard to try to get anything resembling cool air to come in.

GM seems to be SS-ing and RST-ing and V-Series-ing all of the electric things, so that's not unlikely.

Allegedly, the self-installation will count both towards the warranty and an official NHTSA 5-Star crash rating for the SUV. They also plan to have/let owners do their own warranty work on low-voltage parts. I'm skeptical. I just can't see how recalls would work on home installed parts.
