that makes so much sense, Noir Jazz is great. I can not wait to see how the game develops! (side note: even the name is great) I am listening to a lot of 80s synth soundtracks and neo noir for one of my projects, and a looot of Classical music for the other.

I tend to listen to music and visualize story beats and scenes, and then brainstorm what mechanics would emphasize the feeling that I am hearing. I also think a lot about my childhood, the games I loved, the characters I looked up to, etc.

also of note is that the audio appears to be english which I am pretty sure is a first for a team Ico/GenDesign game. If memory serves their games are always feature fictional languages.
