Fossil of the day is Qianzhousaurus! It was a late Cretaceous Tyrannosaurid from Asia. One species is known, Q. sinensis, which means “Qianzhou Sinai Lizard.” It has affectionately been nicknamed Pinocchio Rex due to the long slender snout it exhibits. It is also one of my lesser known faves! :)
