I was one of those. We brought the Internet into college writing courses in the early 90s. We knew the issues, but I did think the opportunity for more discussion would be good overall.

Cleric trickery domain is very cool. I have a couple of characters that barely got play time for one reason or another and that I’d like to pull out again.

Seeing calls for cautionary, defensive protests, I get it. I’m cautious. But Trump flails to respond to the outrage from all sides. Deploying the Nat Guard (illegally) & marines is pure bullying intimidation. He hopes this extreme action ends protests. We can’t be scared of bullies & fascists.

Listening to the rain & birds.

On my balcony, I watched as my neighbor chopped wood in his backyard barefooted. Especially with the one log that was green & his axe kept gliding off. I fetched my phone just in case.

Penny and I stumbled into a dragon graveyard this morning. Strange beardless dwarfs dance around and play among these bones.

Tonight Grace & I went to the major comic shop Beyond Comics here in Frederick. Great place with a wide variety, including smaller indie publishers. Glad we'll have a nice shop to go to. 7 other comic shops are 30-40 mins away. I'm surprised these less populated areas support that many shops.

Not even a week in Frederick, MD, we’re loving it … the arts presence, the friendliness, the smell of flowers & plants, the Blue Ridge mtns. At a shop, after we saying we’re from TX, the owner said, “You’ll find it’s less . . . extreme here.” A house along the park has a sign: Trump is traitor. 😏

Penny is watching the common area for squirrels & rabbits from our balcony while I sip on Dettling Alabama bourbon from a Gus's fried chicken cup. Gotta make do until the movers deliver. The high life & salad days.

"Toss me a cigarette, I think there's one in my raincoat" "We smoked the last one an hour ago" So I looked at the scenery, she read her magazine And the moon rose over an open field. -- I've thought this the most poetic Simon & Garfunkel. It's the transition to the lost confession. So well done.

The view from our bedroom bay window. As we move tomorrow, I'll miss the backyard crepe myrtles with their purple blooms, the dwarf magnolia, the hydrangea, the yuca, etc.

When we were at Austin Books & Comics recently, Grace spotted Briar. It was an impulse buy and looked like it'd be good. And it's excellent. Germán García is a fantastic visual storyteller. www.boom-studios.com/series/briar/
