Sadly I had to explain this to my tech writing team a few months ago.
Just as some started nodding in agreement, a manager tried to rebut it, saying he didn't need to write anymore to figure out his thoughts.
I bit my tongue from saying "Maybe you should have written that down before saying it."

One of the last (if not the last) vinyl records I bought. I sold most of my vinyl before moving to MD. This is 1 of 25 albums I kept to pass along to my daughter's vinyl collection, along with XTC's English Settlement & Marsalis's Black Codes.
Recorded it to cassette & kept the vinyl pristine.

Batman & Robin: Year One
My daughter & I are huge Samnee fans. I reread some issues just to appreciate how Samnee visually tells the story.

My reading is slowed by moving halfway cross the country. ;) But these are others I’m reading & enjoying:
The Moon is Following Us
Phantom Road
Tin Can Society
The Seasons
Falling in Love on the Path to Hell
New Gods

I assume this is the critique of Raymond’s art being too graceful.
I love Toth’s art, but he comes across like a curmudgeon sometimes (maybe not Byrne level). But that particular criticism seemed to stem from his experience trying to get a strip gig.

The problem with certain Democrats is they’ve not had to fight to get elected. They take success for granted. So they’re now bewildered how to respond—they want stern letters & investigations.
We need to show liberal values are American values. Every day.

It's really not hard: Say what's the right thing to do in clear, concrete terms. Say what you believe as a clear goal.

They're making it sound like a good thing, something you want to do again.
Like replay: play the song again it was so good.
I want more to drink so refill my glass.
Didn't do well the first time? Redo it.
Reread a good book. Regain something you lost.
Make America white again? Remigrate.

I’ve gotten the impression a lot of cgaters use it. I’ve backed a number of comic creators there who weren’t over many years. But I started seeing a number who were or seemed to .

From what I’ve read from creators, building a network is harder now compared to pre-Elon Twitter.

Right. And we’re talking about Trump, Miller, & the rest who lied repeatedly about immigrants eating pets.
I get not giving them visuals to use as evidence of anti-American. But they’ll lie, photoshop, etc. to get what they want. This whole thing is a lie.

We lived in a diverse community with folks from Central America, Korea, Vietnam, Germany, India, Pakistan.
The only hate & anger we saw was from white people. “Can’t we have more *American* businesses?” American = white to these idiots.

I’ve said it many times: Texas is a case for immigration & diversity. Its identity & culture owes to diverse people—from BBQ to cowboys to all its music.
Miller is a hate urchin. It’s his only understanding of power. He’s mad minorities have any power & influence.

If I’m parsing correctly, you’re writing & lettering 4-5 pages in the morning, penciling & inking them in the afternoon, and coloring in the evening?
That’s impressive.

So, there’s a book & movement whose central idea is undefined. As if that’s not bad enough, you’re using this claim to push back on criticism of how team “abundance” includes harmful ideas.
Talk about bad faith.

My daughter is looking at printing options. She’s used Comix Wellspring for a couple of mini comics.

Holy shit that's depressing but unsurprising.
In the tech industry as AI replaces writers, I can at least see how the trend could turn if incorrect info loses the company lots of money.
But what's that possible turning point in entertainment industries?

Definitely. They’re over the top with their products.
“Big Ass Brick of Soap.”
“Hurricane Hold Pomade.”
“Best Damn Beard Balm (not for clowns)”
My brother gave me their bourbon soap & “News Anchor” shampoo for Xmas one year.
Plus I say their products in Duke Nukem’s voice.

I’ve not kept up myself. Not surprising. We’ve had many complex contemporary American novels since 1990–Infinite Jest, House of Leaves, Goldbug Variations, any Cormac.
Could the thin style be a pushback? The impact of online & social media writing?

Part of our walk today with the dog as we walked to the library.
We frequently walk the Baker or Carroll Creek park. But the streets are gorgeous, too, with historic homes. Many corners have hanging flower pots.

I had to see the rest of the video, and it’s pretty much all this bad. He’s always struck me as a bad faith arguer & sloppy thinker, as when he gets pushback on his asinine def of worship.
But throughout, he’s no less a smartass than he accuses this guy.

On a related note, it was disturbing at 20:56 when Klepper points how the right wing dominates young people’s spaces and the journalist says “the left has no relationship with this audience—period. Young men are being radicalized.”
Trump isn’t the only problem.

Right. That was my point, not that progressive media *can’t* work.
Conservative shows were on point & engaged in a way AA failed to do. And cons radio shows were often in sync, w the same messages.
You don’t have to agree w cons media to see how it succeeds & learn from it.

Is it slower now than in the past? Since leading journals are slower, it would make sense it’s due to submission volume. Or something else?

I agree but I’m also jaded about the public’s interest in holding criminal politicians accountable after Trump, Dan Patrick, Bush, and others. Still, Dems should have been pushing this long ago. Hammer it.

Between Scalia’s dark & hypocritical opinions and Thomas’ unqualified presence, Alito’s issues were often overshadowed. But Fox grandpa’s dishonest, unprincipled opinions really stand out now.
But Trump showed they could be openly extreme with little consequences.
