I believe the rise of PBMs also caused the jump in revenue. They have caused a lot of misery for people but profits for Health Insurance companies.

He's probably never been to a national park, so he could care less. If he can't grift it, it has no value. I'm guessing he wants to either drill for oil and gas, or turn them into golf courses.

I'm sure they'll be told that it's communism and socialism which isn't good for them!

I'm surprised he doesn't have a vanity in the ensuite of his office!

"We're gonna be so rich, you're gonna have so much money you won't know what to do with all of it!" Pfft, said like a true conman! I'm sure he used that line with banks for all his bankrupted businesses.

I just watched that segment, too. "It's a great day in America." For whom, people who are rich? She plans to talk to Americans about labor policies. My guess is she avoids those "American workers" she trotted out and only to politicians and leaders who align with their delusion.

He wouldn't be able to do it on his own without people backing him up. But whatever, it's effectively the same.

It's a team effort. But they all cater to the lowest common idiot in the room. He couldn't do it during his first pass because his appointees convinced him out of doing the worst.

It's funny to watch CNBC today with everyone bending themselves into pretzels trying to make sense out of it. No one mentions that the co-president is a dementia-suffering, sundowning grampa acting like a bratty toddler AND his clown car of "advisors" who have no clue what they're doing.
comment in response to post
It's not just one madman. There's a great number of people pushing the same agenda.

(Ack, poor grammar. He pushes the button, not the oval office! 🤣)
comment in response to post
Mr. Junior President has a button on his desk in the Oval Office which he presses to get a Diet Coke delivered to him. He showed it off during a FOX interview. He says people mistake it for the nuclear weapons button. Ok, sundowning grampa! Time to take the keys away from you now!

In a Meritocracy, none of this matters. You have to prove your value to society! Not a problem is you're rich, you have value because you make political contributions. If not, you work until you die, which will be sooner without money or healthcare.
comment in response to post
Yeah, but he's the right type of DE ... I mean, Meritocracy hire, one who knows very little and is happy to cave to the Mango Mussolini's wishes.

I may start again the way things are going so far! 🚬

Idaho is about as xenophobic as you can get in the US.

They won't have to explain. They'll applaud and keep kissing his behind until the very last moment. Then, they'll honor him with a statue and rename an airport, saying he was the greatest president ever. Or they'll claim they were victims this whole time and had 'no idea' he was this bad.

If he has time for a book tour, hopefully he decides to step down from his Senate seat and make room for someone who will actually be effective!

You know how it goes. Trumplicans will blame the Dems for everything. That's their way. If it's not Dems, it's DEI, or BLM, or critical race theory, or trans girls in sports ... The list goes on and on.

Atlantis will live again! 😂

He'll probably become unalive and avoid any consequences, which would fit his profile. However, I believe in reincarnation. His soul will come back to learn the lessons he completely disregarded in this life. Might take him several lifetimes considering he's deranged.

The Gadsden flag? Because she believes everyone is taking from her?

Sometimes I just don't understand how people believe in a boatload of lies and call it "masterful." I suppose gaslighting is an art? Will he be one of those people who claims he had no idea it would get bad after this mass delusion ends?

I believe to privatize so bankers can make even more money. They see those SS numbers and think it's wrong for the government to manage when they can get a piece of that huge pie. Then, they can pump and dump to transfer that wealth to the top 1%.
comment in response to post
Yes! @aoc.bsky.social post-election IG live was incredible and drew people from across the political spectrum. Tonight should also be worthwhile.
comment in response to post
So why don't you protest at the top of your lungs at the Congressional building? What about your actions? Do you expect the Dems to save you, because it's going to take a lot more than that ffs.

In the same way Trumplicans speak to MAGA, her absence speaks to those who know and respect her. It's fine, it's a speech. We have close to 4 years to go. She's done more to support than other Reps up to now.
comment in response to post
I think her absence says enough. This is a marathon, not a sprint.

I applaud you making the effort. I couldn't bother. Then again, I almost never watch SOTU. I figure Kimmel, Colbert and Meyers will fill me in tomorrow.

Just think of all those big, beautiful agave fields and mezcal distilleries that will open up here in the US thanks to the tariffs. NOT!
comment in response to post
Maybe they're looking to ask questions about tariffs, since that's been affecting the markets the past few days.

And Crystal Pepsi combined! 😂

I don't think they care. They get to collect a federal pension. They also want to privatize it so banks and investment firms can charge us for the privilege. Can't have all that Gov't money without the wealthy getting more of the pie! See the 2004 Ryan-Sununu plan.

Mango Mussolini definitely embodies the 7 deadly sins and being an Antichrist. The Constitution? Not so much.
comment in response to post
Unfortunately, it's pay-to-play for many of our Senators and Congresspersons. They are servants to corporations and the wealthy. AOC is outstanding in this regard. She was my Rep until she was redistricted in 2022. Absolutely see her as the future of our country! 💜

I also think they're worried about their funding. However, their compliance probably won't guarantee a think. President Musk will cut everything regardless of what BS they put on their website. I'm sure they'd be told to put it there eventually.

Yes, but these "Christians" have to deify him. Otherwise they can't justify his moral bankruptcy. This way they fool themselves into thinking that he has the God-given right to do as he sees fit. Then he can take on the mantle of being a divine ruler.
