Because Trump’s trade war isn’t about outcomes. It’s about optics.
It ends when the politics run out of oxygen — when businesses, voters, or institutions pull the curtain down. Until then, the world’s smartest move is to stay calm, stay connected, and wait for the performance to end.

When Nixon ended the gold standard in 1971 and slapped on import surcharges, allies didn’t retaliate. They absorbed the shock and helped rebuild the system. It worked.
