That said I started up YuYu Hakusho and boy that's a rock hard series right there, good characters, great pacing, running arcs just long enough so they stay just fresh enough jumping into the next thing as well as giving characters solid and simple development.

But its definitely telling to me that I am not a shonen guy, I'm in my 30s and I find that I gear more towards seinen series and even shoujo as I like more cerebral/emotional story telling rather than just hype moments and 'aura' I think is what the kids call it.

If anything, the artwork and action pacing is fantastic itself, Toriyama had a fantastic talent for making so many great looking characters and sequences. Android 16 being one of my favs for how little he shows up but manages to influence.

I've been out of MTG for almost 20 years so hopping back in was a bit daunting with new terms and such, but thankfully at the card store I play at, everyone's been real nice about it. That said Kain Highwind's card didn't make a lick of sense to any of us.

I remember getting into a bit of a debate with some folks over when the first fighting game was Because as far as I care, the first fighting game dropped in 1928. Your great-grandpa labbed this game during the Great Depression

Relics is one of the peak experiences of video games I ever had and you just sold me on Ringlord Saga in a heartbeat. (Also somehow Relics got a modern port to Switch with some neat extras and whistles!)

I can't believe a shmup/rhythm hybrid focused on jungle breaks with a mix of beat em up design ideas and WILD Suda51-esque visuals would get my attention so much, but this game's got some crazy special sauce rolling.

Whoever made those swinging mechanics and allowed you to mash out shots was so damn brilliant. I've been meaning to give it a revisit because for how dumb and ridiculous it was, not many games come to mind that were as fun to play from start to finish around that point.

Just a large assortment of varying genres from dungeon crawlers, point and clicks, arcade games, shooters, strategy games, and more that just clicked with me from the word go. People really love to talk about indies now, it's always been like this for years. Just a bit more accessible now lmao

That PC lasted a very long time, and I wound up using it a lot in middle school (years after it was obsolete) because I was so fascinated by the shareware games that into my teenage years I wanted to learn more about them. Plus I had some CD games I bought over time that would only work on it.
