My heart goes out to the family/friends of Lynne Marie Stewart...She had an incredible career, the first role of hers that I saw, was #MissYvonne in #PeeWee'sPlayhouse. Although she's probably most recognized as Charlie Kelly's mom in #ItsAlwaysSunnyinPhiladelphia. www.usatoday.com/story/entert...

It's sad that these Japanese Studios that were being funded by #NetEase are now being told that they will receive no additional funding and to wrap up the games they have in production...NetEase should know what happens when game development is rushed and developers have funding cut off.

I typically restrict my platinum trophy reviews to a single post, but I do want to give a special shout-out to @thenoisedept.com for his work on the #AtomicHeart Soundtrack...The songs he worked on are some of my favorite in a video game soundtrack, checkout his #YT youtube.com/@geoffplaysg...

Platinum #232, #AtomicHeart The combat takes some getting used to, but it's a mix of BioShock and Doom ('16) that keeps you on your toes when you do decide to fight instead of running. The world building was interesting, although the ending felt rushed right as the story started to get really good.

I'm actually surprised that #Octane plays #ElectricCallboy, another reason it's my favorite #SiriusXM channel!

variety.com/2025/film/fe... This is probably why #BenedictCumberbatch is one of my favorite modern actors. He is capable of playing strong male characters subtly, while at the same time being emotional and vulnerable. His characters are never perfect, and you appreciate the individual flaws.

Got done with a session of #BeatSaber on #PSVR2 and when I got to the home screen of my PS5, the thumb stick on the right controller was stuck moving right even though nothing was touching it...Hopefully I can get a replacement from Sony, since they don't sell them, otherwise it's now a paperweight

Platinum #231, #TheStanleyParable Even though I am sure that a lot of people will say this game is "Just a Walking Sim", it still has some intelligent writing that will have you occasionally questioning the choices you are making. Its (very) short structure makes it perfect for seeing every choice.

Finally watching #ChainsawMan, and I'm not sure why it took me so long to watch it. It starts off weird (in the best way possible) before it shows its horror-infused teeth. While it obviously has its horror influences, it also has its moments of random comedy that help to break up the violence.

gagadget.com/en/581700-wb... It seems like Management and Corporate executives at Warner Bros. Discovery has no idea what they want from their in-house development studios, besides vague directions. If developers don't even know what projects will get approved for development, it will hurt morale.

Platinum #230, #Aliens: Dark Descent Took me longer than I thought it would, but this was the hardest platinum I've earned in a while. Between spotty detection during stealth sections, & glitches that would soft-lock the game forcing save reloads. Still glad to add this platinum to my collection!

Went back to finish up my nightmare run in Aliens: Dark Descent and I got the "Pharos Spire" bug, where the game won't let you start Mission 11 because the "Reach the Upper Levels" objective didn't register for completion. Glad I found a developer comment online, to bypass the game breaking bug...

www.bloomberg.com/news/article... So Elon wants to have our government spending to be controlled by the Blockchain? I feel like I already saw this episode of Rick & Morty

Platinum #229, Anno: Mutationem A short Action sidescroller with light RPG-elements, and pixel art graphics. Taking place in a cyberpunk style world, the combat is definitely the highlight. Another enjoyable game from the #ChinaHeroProject.

Platinum #228, Return To Monkey Island A quick game (Speed Run Trophy for finishing in >2hours), that feels like the lost sequel to the classic Lucasarts point-and-click adventure. I understand that the art style might not appeal to everyone, but it definitely conveys the feeling of a pop-up book.

Metaphor: ReFantazio mid-playthrough thoughts...spoiler warning As much as I enjoyed FF16, it's kind of wild to think about how this game actually handles the topics racism and class struggles a lot better, and at the same time FF has been going further away from its' roots of turned-based combat.

It's unfortunate to hear about all this drama going on with the band #SeeYouSpaceCowboy. I came across them in 2020 because their ideas and meaning behind their songs really appealed to me, and their sound reminded me of early 00's "Screamo" bands like #DropDead,Gorgeous and #TheDillingerEscapePlan.

Platinum #227, Forspoken It was a chore trying to finish #Forspoken. For every part of the game that was enjoyable, there would be 2 other things that would frustrate me, limiting my enjoyment. The dialogue was horrendous at the beginning of the game, but combat challenges frustrated me the most.

Platinum #226, Killer Frequency A puzzle game that reminded me of the old point-&-click adventure titles, with the setting/style of a 80's Teen Slasher film with plenty of funny moments. While the game isn't difficult, it was still fun to do multiple playthroughs to see the whole cast live and die.

I decided to get #Metaphor #Refantazio as my game for the holidays this year. Initial reactions: I didn't think #Atlus could do better than #Persona5, but this might be better imo. Such a beautifully stylish, high-fantasy JRPG. Can't wait to get into the story to see where it goes.

Platinum #225, F.I.S.T. (Forged In Shadow Torch) A nice #metroidvania that was a quick and easy game to platinum (20 hours). The diesel-punk setting was my favorite part. Although the main reason I wanted to play it was because it is a part of the #ChinaHeroProject from #Sony.

Was that Julie Ann Emery in tonight's episode of #SkeletonCrew? Been a fan of her work since I saw her in AMC's #Preacher. She excels in roles where she does despicable things with a smile. It's amazing if she landed a role in #StarWars! Even if it's just a cameo.

Platinum #224 - Sonic Frontiers Definitely one of the better 3D sonic games, although it had its fair number of glitches. Precision platforming just doesn't really work for #Sonic. Hopefully Team Sonic will be able to refine the gameplay and fine-tune the movement a bit more if they make a sequel.

I'm really glad that season 2 of DanDaDan will release in July 2025...Since it seems like most food animes are on hiatus right now animehunch.com/dandadan-sea...

Watched #Dandadan EP.12 A pretty slow episode that would seem like a complete filler episode, if not for the fact that it gives a better look at the relationship between Momo and Jiji. Okarun's (obvious) reaction to a potential love triangle between the 3 of them seems like foreshadowing to me.

I finished my first playthrough of Aliens: Dark Descent and got about halfway thru my Nightmare playthrough, but I'm going to take a break and come back for the platinum trophy later (9 trophies left)...Nightmare isn't unbearably hard, the glitches just make it more frustrating than it has to be.

I thought it was pretty obvious that Fallout would win "Best Game Adaptation" at the Video Game Awards (not like it really matters)...Fallout definitely had a broader appeal to even non-gamers. I even heard employees at my local gas station talking about how good Fallout is when it released

Watched Ep.11 of #Dandadan I wasn't sure what to think of Jiji at the end of last episode, but I was glad to see him being a totally embarrassing goober (in the best way). Another chase scene set to William Tell Overture Finale, which will never get old for me made this another great episode!

Just watched #TimeCut on #Netflix... Having consequence free time travel, is like having fat-free chocolate. I don't like it.

Started playing #Aliens #DarkDescent and I am genuinely surprised at how heart racing this game can be. I was turned off from the announcement that it was a tactical strategy game, and wasn't like Alien:Isolation (one of my favorite games). It may not be as good, but it captures the feel of "Aliens"

Check out My Year On PlayStation via @TrueTrophies www.truetrophies.com/MyYearOnPlay...

Platinum #223 - Digimon Survive #DigimonSurvive is a nice Visual Novel with Tactical RPG combat. It took me 4 playthroughs for 100%, and I can say that the combat was the highlight for me. While the "Choose Your Own Adventure" story reminded me of the original Digimon Adventure Anime and tri.

Ep. 10 of #Dandadan released today... Definitely slower paced than the last few episodes, but it was still very enjoyable to see the chemistry between the main cast while they fully come to terms with everything that has happened so far. Also some minor world building about the Aliens and Yokai.

Watching #BlackClover and I have to say this Anime is not at all what I was expecting when it started out...by the end of the second season, it starts dealing with some heavy themes that really work within the characters world, while also being applicable to our modern world.
