I really like his hull patterns - they are so wild! They remind me of the dazzle camouflage from WWII.

And of course this I just loved because it was Star Trek in the book is far enough in the future (at least for the Trek timeline existing in 1978) that it's actually a historical drama. "They came out of the past to save mankind." sounds like a reverse Voyage home--8 years before it happened.

Blade Runner definitely influenced me because of being an Syd Meade fan, but in the 'Tour' book it was definitely the logos. It was similar to a real life book that I had that my grandfather gave me. He worked for Lockheed & the book had all the logos of the companies that use their planes.

These were mine, as you can see I still have them! Tour of the universe is a mishmash of a bunch of different artists sort of stitched into a story. There was a lot of graphic design in that so I think that definitely influenced me!

Thank you! I thought I was last night and then I woke up feeling just as crummy. I had a heart transplant in 2013 so I have a suppressed immune system so it’s probably just taking longer to get over it.

Thank you - I am in bed with a bad cold and totally spaced the alt tag! I try to do them but I don’t always remember.

I was trying to mimic the current flag, but otherwise yes if I was designing it from scratch no text

I have it on shirts and stuff like that through one of those print on demand places (Redbubble), but I’m going to try and work on making actual flags!

I graduated HS in '88. Jurassic Park is 32 years old this week, and apparently design work that I did on Windows Vista now has a name (Fruitger Aero) and people think it's nostalgic. Time is broken!

One Christmas our neighbors daughter got WW Underoos. She spun around and around and when nothing happened hung her head down, marched off to her room, came back with/them packed up and said "They're broken we need to take them back to the store. I didn't even get a lasso." 🤣

Now when I hear this song I see Seven of Nine beaming into a park in LA.

We took ours from Washington state to Minnesota and it did die there because of the road salt. It lasted about a season.

Me too! I was young but I remember hearing about it. my grandfather worked in aviation so he would talk about things like that.

I believe any car after 1975 is required to have a catalytic converter per the Clean Air Act. Not sure if that will change going forward given the world we’re in, but the majority of cars have a catalytic converter.

Has somebody with a suppressed immune system (heart transplant) this is terrifying/depressing… throwing whatever negative modifier as you want it probably is that too!
