Made it through the day without anything bad happening and I got some cake this year. That makes this one of the better birthdays.

Been a while since I took this, but I'm confident my score would be functionally the same

Checking notifications today for exactly this reason.
Thank you!

I'm just unlikely to be active here much until either the world or my mental health improves. 😬🙃

Except for three accounts I only follow people I know, and basically everyone I know uses Bluesky pretty much exclusively for sharing & talking about current events. There's nothing wrong with that, but it means my feed is bad news 24/7. I'd have to unfollow basically everyone. No apologies needed.

I really would love to keep up with the people I know more than offline life allows, and I really do want to stay informed, but I don't want to compromise myself any further and I cannot take a daily firehose of shit.

Looking like it was very probably fake. Not finding other sources, and the originating account in the screenshot doesn't look reliable. Hate that we live in a world where this seems entirely too possible. 😅

I was starting to wonder actually. I wasn't finding anything else about it either

By that point, it'll be too late. They won't respect a passport if it really comes to it. It'd really only be good for getting out *before* it becomes necessary. Which is what people I know are talking about.

I should get my Real ID just in case, but I don't fly anywhere and have no plans to do so any time soon, so that hasn't been a real concern of mine.

Aside from going overseas once over twenty years ago, I've never had an occasion where I needed any form of federal ID.
Hate that you need it for citizenship reasons, but I'm very, very glad you have it.

Haven't listened to this one yet, but if it surprised you I'm betting you missed last year's Hind's Hall. www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgDQ...

I mean, I'm a little annoyed, but I guess I can find a way to shake it off 😆

There is nothing more decorous and proper than ejecting Nazis from a space with as much rancor and force as is necessary.
If you value decorum, the correct thing to do is to fight them, loudly, tooth and nail until they are gone.

Oh, weird, I just noticed clearsky.app has a list of Top Blocked accounts (which gave me a few accounts I just blocked) as well as Top Blockers, and the #3 top blocker is one of mine. Guess it really wasn't anything personal!

I'm baffled by the blocks I've received. Accounts that have never followed me, never interacted with me, that seem to belong to real people whose values don't obviously seem at odds with mine. I'm unbothered, but I'm also confused.
Also, hey fellow Swiftie

Not saying Musk wasn't using the kid as a prop, but I'd bet it was more of an attempt at humanizing Musk to the audience of the interview than an attempt to avoid arrest.
Though I'll admit, there's no real way to know why his drug-addled brain does anything.

He'll get protection just because of who he is, but I promise that law enforcement does not have a problem with separating parents & children and would call CPS to take custody of the child at the drop of a hat with anyone else.
People try to use kids as shields in court too. Doesn't work.
