You know yourself best!!!! And yes, just because someone has a master's degree in therapy does NOT mean they're trained to evaluate for autism spectrum disorder (also depending on how old she is, they may not have even covered the DSM5 in her grad program)

Use! What classes specifically have they taken in autistic diagnostic criteria? Why do they use the measures they use? How do they rule out other diagnoses?)

(This is to say, people sometimes think the dsm has all the answers, or if a therapist has been "trained" in using the dsm they're an expert in autism. Not necessarily! If a therapist tells you something & you don't agree with it, that's valid!!! Ask about their training! What evaluation tools they

See, you HAVE to have the first avenger because it shows who they were BEFORE the super hero stuff!! It's central to their story. It's just maybe not as angsty as the other stuff, so maybe it doesn't get as much attention? But 1930s era stucky is sooooo good

Oh man Sharon. An epic length (294k words) back story that goes on forever before the "real" otp ever even gets together, exploring history and identity and prejudice and sexuality, right up your alley: archiveofourown.org/works/629221...

And even though I'm not talking to you pirates about the Stucky fics I'm reading, I still feel this sense of community. I didn't realize it was out there. πππ thank you fic writers of ALL Fandoms and thanks OFMD ones for being so welcoming

Is that there are so many people to talk WITH about. I'd never found that before with fanfic (except in the 7th grade when my friend Mel and I would trade Andromeda and Buffy fanfic back and forth in our notebooks).

It took YEARS! It's hard because you only symptoms, not necessarily cause, which means treatment is a guessing game-- I hope the splint works!!
comment in response to

Oh no!! I'm sorry. I had it too, it was miserable trying to find a treatment- I tried a night guard, botox, muscle relaxers, but eventually physical therapy and massage were what ended up fixing it. It's different for every person!!
