Fabulous article. Thank you for speaking out. The ordinary women on the street who do not feel threatened by and are welcoming to the trans community need to stand up and let Rowling know that she does not speak for all women.

People think they are an SNP paper but most of what theyâve published from me has been very critical of the party. On issues like Gaza thereâs a reality thatâs not served by both sidesing

Iâve had men call me, a woman who spends most of her spare time campaigning for womenâs rights, a misogynist for *checks notes* not being a hateful bigot to trans people.

At times, it has felt like The National are one of the few media outlets in the UK that cares about journalism. They seem rigorous in pursuing truth and justice.
Was especially noticeable around Gaza and the various smear campaigns
Also they only place I saw data like this reported:

The National also gave me a platform to write about my experience of being stalked, doxed and abused by anti abortion men www.thenational.scot/politics/246...

People refusing to listen, this comes as no surprise. Anti-trans groups are nothing more than a means to oppress women. They start at the most vulnerable and eventually all women suffer, this is why we protect trans people; not just because they deserve protection but all women are targets.

I am actually all for vasectomies! Encourage more men to get them and then thereâs less abortions.

I liked it in theory and I hope we move to a rights based approach. Abortion providers and orgs got independent legal advice and had concerns NC20 could be risky under a different government. I want better too, I hope this is just the beginning.

Patients will NOT be criminalised, damn it. Can we have an edit button @bluesky ?

Itâs great news for womenâs equality. But we need the police to be tough on anti-abortion violence after two murders were carried out from a hit list at the weekend. This is who they are. Extremists who lack critical thinking and empathy.

I notice a lot of those trusty "defender of women's rights" in the Noes and abstained. Disgusting.

I liked it in theory but providers had concerns about it. I hope we move to a human rights approach next.

That's the second TERF who was against decriminalising abortion.
It's as if they don't actually give a shit about women and girls...

Yeah this was a very small ask. It will make a massive difference to anyone who would have been accused, investigated and jailed. But this should just be the beginning. Much more needs to be done.
