They must be updating the website. For some reason the link displays our old name, even though the URL does not. Hopefully that is fixed and clear for everyone soon. :)

It was, kinda! I just checked the wiki and it will be 4 years since the campaign ended next week. I think the orb incident was in the first year or two during the pirate arc. Google says that is around the same time Game of Thrones ended. A lot has happened since then. :)

Sometimes. Sketches can be more fun to investigate and share little ideas. It is like a window into what that person was thinking at the time.

Sometimes a specific system or rule will grab my attention. Like man, THIS is cool, but I bet I could use it for THAT! It is like finding a new tool or a building block opening new possibilities. Even after all these years I keep finding innovations that make me excited for the future.

I have seen college students do worse with ramen. Next time you dream of cooking, maybe you can send a message to get them to stop making it in the public drinking fountains.

I will continue to post smaller updates here when reasonable. The next big update to the Kickstarter page should be in about two weeks at the 4-week mark after the campaign ended. In the meantime, check out our original (old) character sheet mockup by @penfrei.bsky.social!

I thought you said "ratsona" and that works too. Rantrat videos presents: clickbait in the style of that one guy whose thumbnails you see all the time, that is really just an excuse for the LORE. Then wait for someone else to do a very incorrect interpretation critique video.

You could go the youtube route and make a 30min narrated video about a single piece of lore. "What they don't tell you about my OC is..." Everything because it is not written yet. Go with a slow dramatic pan of the same image over and over again before cutting to the expert with a degree in lore.

I remember the part where Odysseus got stumped by the pizza puzzle, and then lost half his crew to the dangers yet to come because they had skates for feet instead of springs.

Maybe we try this again another time? Looks like I may have picked an off weekend for folks. I just realized this might be finals week for a lot of people.

Sorry you have to deal with that. None of these companies have morals or a shred of human decency.

Oh yeah, there was plenty of judgment for liking that sort of game in high school for us too, but college nobody cared anymore. Ha. 5th definitely found its audience! I think I have seen the most fan art and such for that generation. Either that or 3rd from the series' previous crest in popularity.
comment in response to post
Out of curiosity, did you start the series later or return after a few generations? 5th gen felt like it got a resurgence in popularity, but that may have just been my school.

Neat idea. The nature of her existence sets up some existential questions and doubts to add drama later. While I am not doing more art of OCs at the moment, I would love to next time! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the shoutout!

Awesome to hear! Let me know how it goes. I can also point folks to some useful TTRPG resources if this is their first experience or if they want any help setting up the game.

Glad you like it. :)

I like the intensity of his expression and his evil demon eel arms.

That is a lot of cool ways to explore how an energy weapon would work. You do not see that combination too often. :)

I always liked that mix of armor and cloth/capes for fantasy designs. Also, it is fun that her equipment line starts at "7 birds" which turn out to be weapons. XD
comment in response to post
Nice. I dig the patterns and design of that clothing, plus her general expressiveness.

Back from work for the day. If you have a character you want me to sketch, just share an image and a little description in the comments below. I will post everything together probably late Sunday.

I'm curious, how much of that did they bounce off you guys for input and how much was a surprise?

Anyway, if you want to learn about eating soup that teaches you how to turn into anything, oddly specific prohibitory curses that always end in tragedy, or killing rival warriors with a pickled brain, go read Celtic myths.

The true endgame of anything that lets you mix and match and craft armor sets.

Well, whatever the reason, this website appears to have plenty of gifs of those lads now. It has escaped containment.

What about this day of the year specifically triggered the nostalgic need to return?
