Best: I was in the British Judo Squad for two years running. Then I found beer and metal.

My son was diagnosed recently and is also awaiting ADHD.
Its led to a lot of introspection and I score highly on prescreening tests. I don't need a diagnosis but if it helps anyone like it did my son at 18, then just do it. It's like a weight has been lifted off his shoulders.
