A more honest headline would be “Corporations cut costs and get rid of promotion options for lower wage earners, asking them to do more while ultimately capping their future earnings.” fortune.com/2025/03/04/a...

Living in times like these almost makes me regret that I’ve spent my entire adult life studying economics.

As an American and a veteran… this is an embarrassing and dark day.

All those folks in the middle who gaslit everyone saying they wouldn’t attack same sex marriage… y’all going to speak up at some point or are you just going to let them strip the rights of everyone who doesn’t fit their white Christian nationalist narrative?

America today is living through a hostile takeover by bullies and billionaires. It is rampaging unopposed because leading Democrats don't know how to fight. Step up, own the failing, and change -- or make way for the fighters in your ranks. FULL VIDEO: the.ink/p/milquetoas...

This version of capitalism has undoubtedly made lives materialistically better, yet despite that, more and more people seem to be living on the edge.

The way 14 year old me would sing Anna Begins with my whole ass chest like I had any idea what Adam was talking about…

looking back, AOL had it right. 30 hours of internet per month was the right amount.

Right where they belong.

I didn’t have a trade war in North America on my bingo card for 2025. Then again, I voted for @kamalahqrepeater.bsky.social.

The way @mollyjongfast.bsky.social just sat back and folded her arms when Dan Nathan started talking about Elon being this chaos agent and the “value” he created… same.

they are stealing data from the american people and depriving us of the transparency that we are entitled to by law. none of this is legal and not a single federal employee has any reason to comply.

Reverse Robin Hood. They’ll be taking tax payer money and giving $7K to families to spend on private school tuition with no income restrictions moving forward. Pulling money out of the public school districts to fund private education will decimate public schools. www.wkrn.com/news/tenness...

He went to a private college prep highschool and represents the wealthiest district in Georgia while telling kids on free lunch to get a job

I love how the press and even Democrats are talking about Trump purposely circumventing the law on all manner of things. They then question Republicans about it who just blow it off. Consequences have not existed for years, don’t act shocked now that they’re doing exactly what they want.

So uhh… has anyone seen or heard a Democrat lately? If the plan was to suffocate them with a stream of bullshit then I guess, A+. Outside of a few sound bites I’ve heard from Kaine, Crockett, or AOC, it’s been dust in the wind.

Why does my TikTok feed suddenly resemble my Instagram reels page? This is not my algorithm. Also, can someone else verify, but why does it suddenly feel like Instagram - and now TikTok - are forcing a lot more “gooner” content on my feed? I’m not really here for that.

It all feels like a family with a genuinely abusive family member choosing to just carry on with the holiday traditions, hoping to create normalcy through sheer will and denial.

INCREDIBLE!!!!! 🤯

If you want to know why people are eating out less, a lot of it boils down to value. People are tired of paying high prices for oven baked pizza and French fries served on “fancy” dish ware. dailyvoice.com/ny/pleasant-...

I just knocked out a bag of black salt potato chips. I’m sorry, but, what? It was like eating an egg salad sandwich. I’m sorry black salt, I wasn’t familiar with your game.

open.spotify.com/track/5ikdUU... Absolute 10/10.

Thou shalt not steal — but if grocery CEOs call price hikes 'market adjustments,' then surely scanning steak as carrots is just 'consumer adjustments.'

Nothing says we care about the American people quite like a government shut down right before the holidays.

Drove through Oakwood in #RVA yesterday and added 11 more Flock Ravens (gunshot detectors) and one Falcon (automatic license plate reader) to the East End tally by @dinfontay.bsky.social (read here: churchhilllookout.beehiiv.com/p/the-contro...). See them here: overpass-turbo.eu/s/1VDT

Fascinating paper on where 6000 global elites went to college. Billionaires, CEOs, heads of state, central bankers, etc. In a word: Harvard. Fully 10% of global elites went to Harvard. Elite US schools are over-represented (23% IvyPlus), but nobody comes close to Harvard. 🧵

I wouldn’t say I have a favorite rice, but I do have a preference.

If you want to stop taking care of vets, stop making more of us.

www.nytimes.com/2024/12/03/w... Well this is clearly going to be a problem. Say it with me… tariffs are bad.

Until Democrats stop insisting on taking the moral high ground on everything, we will continue to lose. While we sit and play by the rules and decades of established decorum, Republicans laugh and just do whatever they want.

What happened to Starbucks? Took Kurt to Houndtown over at Church Hill Dog park today and then stopped for a coffee. I know Starbucks had gotten bad, but buying a coffee from Starbucks these days feels like being on an episode of Punked.
