When I hear people describe themselves as content creators.

The existence of the MSXBook makes me kinda jealous. If there were an SC-3000 laptop being manufactured, you can bet I'd buy one in a heartbeat.

Not my home, but I know my way around.

🚚 Delivered the decompilation of TH02's bullet system! Surprisingly the cleanest implementation of bullets I've seen so far, but still featuring expectedly asymmetric hitboxes. And so much untapped potential… 🐞 1 bug 💣 6 landmines 🎺 12 quirks 🪨 38 pieces of bloat

Game #3: Jaseiken Necromancer 23 February 2025 Got reminded of this game by @randomstranger.bsky.social and decided to give it another shake after giving up on it years ago. All balancing goes out the window once you obtain the eponymous sword. #GamesBeatenIn2025

Lemeza Kosugi would be proud...

When you think about it, Core-era Lara is kind of a bumbling idiot. It somehow didn't occur to her to read the amulet of Horus until *after* she'd already yoinked it off Set's sarcophagus. And that's not even getting into the many times she gets herself knocked out.

I'VE GOT THE KEYS TO THE JEEP IN THE VALLEY OF THE KINGS MY COMPANION LEFT ME AND I LET SETH FREE LET'S RIDE (LET'S RIDE) LET'S RIDE (LET'S RIDE) LET'S RIDE ALL THE WAY TO THE NILE #tombraider #tr4 #tombraiderremastered

These minimalistic box designs for early Master System titles may not have been great for marketing back in the day, but I still think they're really charming, and I've always loved how the card titles just show a hand holding the game.

Sent an e-mail to the repair shop I've had bookmarked for years now. Hoping for the best.

Oh yeah, today I noticed the label on the back of my (currently broken again) CRT for the first time, and... much to my amazement, it supports 60Hz, too! All the more reason to give it as long a life as possible, then.

It's rather unorthodox a video, but Super Hang-On's demos have always had strong personal significance to me as (rather unconventional) comfort material, so I thought I'd put 'em out in the wild. youtu.be/QegFETdj0gw #retro #retrogaming #80s #sega #megadrive #genesis #superhangon

Oh yeah, new video gonna drop today.

LRT, I never had one myself, but I kinda miss those horizontal PC cases that you can put the monitor on top of. These days, all you can really get is towers, it feels like.

It's here! The easiest Windows yet on the easiest computer ever. One of Packard Bell's efforts to make PCs less intimidating and more like just another entertainment appliance in the home. Remote control, the Navigator program to obfuscate the scary operating system, and oodles of software.

Hi @nanoraptor.danamania.com - I built your minitower C64 concept to exhibit at VCF SoCal this weekend (crediting you for the concept and design of course). It's not fully assembled in this photo. I hope you like it!

Nostalgia is a sentiment that has accompanied me for pretty much all my life, but it's been feeling especially strong these days. I think a driving force behind it is my wanting to cull modern technology that's designed specifically to take up as much of my time and attention as it possibly can.

Oh yeah, lest I forget: Happy 12th anniversary to Retrograde Road! Yes, an almost-late single post is all the commemoration I have, unfortunately. 😔

I remember being confused as a kid why phones back then could only produce beeps for ringtones instead of full digital audio, even though you clearly had someone's voice coming through the speaker when making a call, and at intelligible levels at that.
