How long till Trump drops sanctions against Russia?

The plot of Anora about a sweet call girl redeemed by a good man is very 1950s. Sweet Charity without the banger tunes.

Putin likes this sort of public humiliation too. Remember how he humiliated his national security advisor in 2022 before the invasion. youtube.com/shorts/qUMRF...

Moving protest in Sydney to mark three years of Putin’s criminal invasion of Ukraine.

Comparisons of EU v US support for Ukraine miss two crucial points: A) EU has taken 2 million Ukrainian refugees. B) the cost of sanctions against Russian oil and gas has fallen principally on the EU.

Too much focus on the medium term problem of boosting European defence and not enough on the urgent and clear need to give Ukraine more weapons. Ukraine’s survival is the most important thing for European security.

www.smh.com.au/national/nsw... so who is paying these crooks to foment unrest? It could just as easily be Vladimir Putin as anti-Semites. We don’t know.

Now would be a good time for Australia to announce a big aid package for Ukraine.

Molotov-Ribbentrop Mark 2

Hey Aussie media! Can we have some reporting on what happens if USAID CUTS THE $3.4bn it spends in the Pacific?

www.smh.com.au/world/europe... Why is the US suddenly worried about the lack of elections in Ukraine in wartime but does not care about Russia being a dictatorship for the last 25 years?

Who is paying for the graffiti and arson attacks against Jewish targets in Australia? Pro-Palestinians, anti-Semites? Or could it be a “false flag” operation by pro-Israeli groups or even Mossad? So bizarre.

The Battle of New Orleans is a country and western classic whose lyrics will be unintelligible after today

Just bought my wife perfume for Xmas at David Jones department store and was surprised to see this image. Former Deputy Prime Minister and chancellor of ANU is modelling the Xmas sales.

Humble brags on social media: “Sorry. I haven’t been posting much because too busy on my book tour. These constant interview requests are such a burden. A huge response to my last post but the traffic is sooo crazy I’m going to have to start blocking more people.”

Is Robert E Kelly (BBC dad) on Bluesky? We need him now.

Watching Say Nothing which is fascinating. But the portrayal of the IRA is fairly positive. Can’t think of any other group that used similar methods (PLO, ETA, PKK) who would get similar treatment in mainstream television.

I’m not generally into blocking free speech but the Australian government has blocked Palestinians for saying much less horrible things. www.abc.net.au/news/2024-11...

Looking for good Bluesky accounts on Russia/Ukraine. Russian language is fine.

Will other Australian media please follow this.

Why does the chair who is from the Animal Rights party care more about horses than the endangered native animals whose environment the horses are destroying? #auspol

I wonder if the Anglican Church is setting a higher standard than the Catholic Church did for George Pell.

Why are so few Australian media sites here?

Bluesky now has over 10 million users, and I was #1,718,813!
