The process takes time. If I recall many leaned for a decade or more in response to higher water. These were Black Spruce.

We cored leaners in Saskatchewan and discovered that leaning and reaction wood growth corresponded to wet periods and high lake levels.

I understand the seasonal spike, but what has caused the huge spike in Norovirus this winter? Is there some external factor, or just bad luck?
