Damn, Adam. I am a proud Democrat and I would vote for you. I grew up in Kansas and from the Landons to Dole to Kelly, we've had a tradition of voting for America. That was a given. Yes, we would differ here and there, but dammit, we are all Americans. The current DC regime is just that.

As a geographer, I gotta admit, that sort of thing goes on all around the world; just not all that much because Internet, Maps, logistics, warfare, welfare, and just agreeing on how we all get along tends to default to accepted norms of geographic behavior.

tbf, it’s beyond stupid. This shit defies easy categorization. Maybe we can come up with a new lexicon for the new unreal reality of the new century. As is said, future historians will get this whole sordid mess figured out. Until then, reality happens.

Preach it! The sekrit sauce is that the ruling class actually does a lot of shit in plain sight, knows they can get away with it and then goes on to more heinous shit.

Why, Gaza will be South Lebanon, you know, the country that’s the jewel of the eastern Mediterranean!

And oh yes: humid climate + limestone = a karst landscape. Swamp real estate buyer beware.

You may recall this British program: americanarchive.org/catalog/cpb-...

35 years ago, there was a tv program from the UK via PBS. Almost everything going on now was forecasted back then. And me? Just another earth scientist trying to educate the public that the next century was going to be rough. Who knew?https://americanarchive.org/catalog/cpb-aacip_394-65h9wd4r

Possibly, one of the funniest NAFO memes to date. I know that there are NAFO members from various countries. As an American and geographer, I am again embarrassed by how silly and stupid we can be--unlike some other places, we actually fairly elect our monsters. 😱

I will always upfist NAFO.

Once upon a time, I was updated every night about our Vietnam losses--before dinner. At the end, our human losses were north of 50K. At one time, that was way more than enough to assist the end of the USSR viz Afghanistan. Why do Russians now tolerate a far higher combat death toll?

OK, the Shatt has his Canadian heritage; meanwhile, George transports down to the said woeful alien planet, bans toques, Molson beer and most importantly, back bacon. Wait, and Tim’s. Speaking as a Yank, I wish there were more Trudeaus in the world.

*Kirk*: The residents of planet Takei 5 have now relocated to Altair 4 commencing Festivus for the restivus. (Pardon my poor attempt at Star Trek lingo)

I’m bit rusty with my Finnish, but this is almost Monty Python humour.

Allow me to fall for it. I once trained to lay down on rail tracks to block a nuclear fission vessel coming to my home state of Kansas (because in the 80s, our cows like today’s AI farms, needed always on, reliable energy). I also happen to be a scientist and now, nuclear for me is preferable.
