Got my hopes up for a split second when I heard a news bulletin in a very sombre tone starting with 'Donald Trump has suffered a serious...' Unfortunately, it was 'blow to his tariff policy.'

Hope anyone in need or homeless sees this

open.spotify.com/episode/77Hz... Interesting snippet on here about capping winter fuel allowance. Apparently, even Kwasi Kwarteng was emotionally intelligent enough to understand it wouldn't go down very well with the public, so ruled it out.

"70% of Israelis do not support the continuation of the war. So Netanyahu and his cabinet are continuing a war in which they command no public support..." @hannahweisfeld.bsky.social @yachad.bsky.social with @goldbergradio.bsky.social @bylinetimes.bsky.social pod.fo/e/2d9f01

I don't watch much Championship football, but what a high quality finish and parting gift from Tommy Watson to send Sunderland up. Will definitely be keeping an eye out for him at Brighton next season.

The orange felon’s vendetta against Harvard in just one photo.

When I was at Politics.co.uk I used to commission this guy to write straight-down-the-line, reasoned, academic analysis of public opinion. His decade-long descent into far-right grift has been quite something to watch

“Who are you with” and “You’re a terrible reporter” are the last remaining clues that a question with any merit was asked. @nbcnews.com

I'm not much of a gambler, but Badenoch is 7/4 to go before the end of the year. Seems rather generous odds, considering her performance so far.

Trump wants you to think that he’s bringing back the “Golden Age” of prosperity of the 1950s and 1960s. But in reality, he’s dragging us toward something else: the Gilded Age of the 1890s.

Excellent caller on James O'Brien's show talking about Brexit buyers' remorse. Compares it to buying a ticket for one of those dodgy Christmas wonderlands🎯

A reminder that more people are employed in the yoga industry than there are registered fishers working in the UK.

Anything other than rejoining the EU is not a betrayal of the referendum. There was one question, it happened. We got a shitty deal, negotiated by shallow populists. Now is the time to grow up and support what works best for our country. Labour have the mandate to do that, like it or not.

I'm really not impressed with Labour so far, but listening to the fools and charlatans responsible for an awful deal cry 'Brexit betrayal' is a reminder that many things could always be a lot worse if they were in charge again.

A reminder that if the minimum wage had kept pace with worker productivity gains since the 1960s, it would now be nearly $26 an hour.

This happens way too often

I'm very much enjoying the cup final and the scoreline but how many times have City played in this exact game this season?

this is a letter to the editor from a high school track runner who came in second to a trans girl in a race. her state house rep in maine started talking about it. so she wrote this: www.pressherald.com/2025/05/14/r...

Underrated, and spot on about Starmer open.spotify.com/episode/3cE9...

I think I must be going mad, but I just listened to Trump's speech in Riyadh and I was...kind of, slightly, moved by it. Then I thought about it for a bit and realised what he admires most about it is the idea of effectively exercising slave labour, so not feeling quite as fluffy about it now.

"Nigel Farage is running a 𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙩... he's surrounded by people whose idea of policy is to wander to The Marquis Of Granby for a pint." Ex-Reform MP Rupert Lowe says Farage is "not fit to be Prime Minister." @maitlis.bsky.social

sorry but the idea a bunch of politics dorks didn’t deliberately write the enoch powell reference as an enoch powell reference in starmer’s speech is either an insult to our intelligence or an insult to theirs

I'm not that much of an open borders, let everyone in and it'll be cool sorta guy, but I can honestly say that the overwhelming majority of people who piss me off, ruin my day, are rude or act like thick, miserable twats in the UK are the natives.

Anyone in favour of the death penalty - tell me why you continue to hold that view today. www.bbc.com/news/article...

Has anyone ever gifted you a plane?

A country of strangers, all trying to work out exactly who tf it is we've elected and what they've done with what used to be the Labour Party.

So many layers of corruption.
