I cook a little, bake a little sourdough, follow the Seahawks and BlueJays and blog a tad about my life in Mexico. If the first thing you do after I follow you back is a dm saying hello or nice to meet you you’re blocked. gerrypetersblog.wordpress.com

To quote a phrase, "You can't take our country and you can't take our game".

and....don't join anything, volunteer for anything or make any long term commitments for a year. You'll find your calendar fills up on its own pretty quickly and it will fill up with things you said yes to. Bonus advice: throw away the alarm clock first thing.

two things, I always say it's not a function of how long you've been there but of how long you have left. You've been putting up with the BS and politics for all these years and now you are unleashed. Try and hold back just a tad. 1/2

No, just no.

As a Canadian I'm concerned. This new alignment of world powers puts Canada right between Russia and the USA. Imagine a few CIA drone strikes on some Mexican cartel locations and phone call with Canada that starts with "see what we are willing to do"?

You should absolutely investigate. The investigation come before you get to challenge the premise of a statement of fact.

Ah, the election was stolen. Where have I heard that before? You can “know” all kinds of things but innocent until proven guilty right. One of the basic tenets of your democracy right?

The problem is it's not "a huge portion of this country", it's the majority to the voting population. If democracy is defined by the voters this is who you are America.

Well four years anyway.

I'll admit I was not a fan of the entertainment but I'm 70 years old. I don't think I was the target demographic.

Well this will lead to a great court battle. How do you protect a prisoners rights. You have him in custody and, therefore, are responsible for his reasonable care but your outsourcing that work to a foreign country where the courts have no jurisdiction?????

Thing is their banks are free to operate here they just have to follow the same rules that banks operating here now follow.

And Prime Minister Trudeau for committing 1.3 billion for border security that was announced in November.

To be clean this is a $1.3 billion plan that was announced in November. Trump knew we were doing it all along.

I have read this morning of two other Canadian Provinces that are doing this. In most Provinces the government holds a monopoly on, at least, the wholesale of liquor products. While Ontario is the largest consumer the cost of this is going to get much bigger.
comment in response to post
In Canada right now there is a huge focus on "Don't buy anything American" and Provinces are removing all American made beer and liquor from shelves. Let's see if that has an effect on jobs in the US. That might prove more effective than higher prices.

I'm afraid he has struck the right cord for the mindless mob that follows him. He said something like it might be tough for a while but it will be worth it to make america great again. They will swallow the pain in the belief it is patriotic. Sad but true.

because he doesn't give a shit about firewalls. He fired independent auditors where the "firewall" requires he give congress 30 days notice with details reasons for firing them and then had at least one escorted out of her office by security when she tried to go to work.

Life was so much simpler then, you put the vegetables in a pot of water on the stove then put the roast in the oven, when the roast was done you ate. Also worked with chicken and meatloaf.

I'm afraid she was busy.

Thoughts on why the DNC did that? Mine is that there is too much money in politics now and they had to go "white-washed corporatism" in order to get some of it and compete.

They know that....
