Yeah but I can live with the narrative decision cause it's self aware and comedic in that. But the gameplay is repetitive and boring, at which point the narrative falls apart cause it can only work if we're also having fun. Game writing sometimes forgets how much gameplay impacts its effect, imo.

One game where it bothered me was uncharted. I really liked the parts where you got to solve puzzles and explore temples but the massive 30 people killing sprees in between were dreadful. Especially with motion sickness. Actually made me quit the game

I always loved loved LOVED how Dishonored and Dishonored 2 did that. It's your gradual gameplay decision if you play it hack and slay, stealth, non-lethal or even ghost. This decision impacts the game world, how much and what you see of it and it changes the story very mildly by implications

Okay but to be fair: it's inspired by teen slasher movies and that writing style is kinda essential to that. They're always written in a way that makes you yell the correct action at the screen and then they don't do it

Toxic positivity beschreibt doch aber was ganz anderes.

Also ein privater Zug.

Id even go so far as saying market growth just because is eventually bad for all businesses in any field.
But it's kinda even expected for Hobbies nowadays (eg, I have a tiny 200 subs yt channel and yt bombards me with tips to expand my audience. I'm fine yt...) Not everything has to go big.

Did not make the sad thing less sad (sadly), I still cried like a baby. Damn heart strings...

Sometimes it's not about twists for me but about getting to explore and understand things on my own. Or in one instance I got spoilers something sad about the main char and it made me too sad to play "towards" that for a bit so I had to take a break from the game 😄

Aside from the sensible things others said: something fun and comfortable. For example I always buy veggie broth and alphabet noodles to make alphabet soup. Cause this is mostly about comfort (since colds stay as long as they want) and doing something for a happy headspace legit helps too

I still have my old cassette deck and Im considering also building a collection of that again. Aside from "owning" media again, even just the very tactile experience of old audio devices, holding them, hearing them, handling them is something I really miss
