Most definitely. No offense taken. We hear comments and âjokesâ about diabetes constantly. My kid canât stay alive without insulin via a pump 24 hours a day though, so itâs hard not to educate when I see an opportunity.

Love the comment, but it doesnât help the stigma behind diabetes. Type 1 is the one a lot of little kids, like my daughter, get for no known reason. The one youâre referring to is Type 2, sometimes caused by obesity and/or lack of exercise. 2 is a metabolic disorder, 1 is a disease with no cure. đ

Every day I wish my German grandmother, my Oma, was still here to testify to this very thing! Although German, she and her family were taken from their farm, separated, and sent to work camps. She never supported the Nzs. Sheâd be appalled at whatâs happening to the US right now⌠đ˘
