Sure, but is it really their general policy or just some marketing-BS they tell to themselves? Personally, I'd rather have an LLM that hallucinates and is about 70% right than a Siri that isn't even that, and 100% useless when it comes to more than setting a timer or turn off the lights.

Thought so as well, but if I count the times Siri wanted to send me to some place 1000km away in a neighbouring country instead of the city with the exact same name 20km away where I wanted to go - does that really matter to them or is it just pretense?

Sometimes I tell it to play "xxx" and the it says "can't find xxx in your media library". Then I have to reformulate until it finally tells me verbatim "now playing xxx". Or when you dictate something, you see it written down correctly at first but then in the end it changes it to some garbage. 🙄

Sure, Tim is not Steve and Apple is now a bigger company. Still, imho it now fails to transport the joy, playfulness, attention to detail, ease of use & price-quality rate from yesteryear, falling back to the competition. No more focus. And it's accelerating.

The Apple has been rotting for quite some time, imho. Sterile pre-recorded keynotes, Siri & customer support getting even worse, traditionally exorbitant upgrade prices now skyrocketing (10x market price makes me feel like a dependent idiot), useless Macpro & 16e, iPadOS, ... the list goes on.

Aren't you kind of mixing up 65 million households watching the fight worldwide with 120 million viewers of the superbowl in the US only? (another 62 million viewers internationally) P.S.: I've heard the fight wasn't a good streaming experience in Europe as well.
