Eight years ago my wife won Valentine’s Day for all time when she got me this picture framed. It was a picture that appeared in the local Killeen, TX paper. I had just got back from a 16 month deployment and hadn’t seen her in 11 months. Pictures from November 2007.

Going to see an orthopedic doctor. Honestly, I have three things I need looked at, but today we are just doing the shoulder. Both knees, 28 and 27 years respectively after having the ACLs replaced, are chronic now, but the shoulder thing is new. Will see if we can head that off.

My son’s swim team had their annual hair coloring last night. Each year (not all, had eight this year) they color their hair bright blonde. It’s a fun tradition and the boys have a good time with it. Mine looks awesome.

My bigger dog and I have long had this thing where when we wrestle, I pin him on his back with my hand on his chest. He wriggles around, paws at me, and mouths my arms. We have fun. Our new dog hasn’t figured out we are playing yet and barks at us to stop 😂🤣

@neildegrassetyson.com talking to my nine year old daughter about why Pluto isn’t a planet anymore. I asked what it’s now called. She goes, “Um, a Hobbit Planet!” We had a good laugh and I told her it was a dwarf planet. She says, “I knew it was a small one.” To be fair, we had just watched LOTR.
