HELL YEAH they're so normal for me i guess i didn't realize they aren't around everywhere, even tho that's obvious in hindsight haha. they really spooked me as a kid because of the big red eyes but they're neat little bugs!

it is a system every USian is benefitting from without a choice and it is disgusting. i don't want my convenience to come at the cost of human lives even if it makes pineapples cheaper. i'm not comfortable with the way people are almost nostalgic for pre-tarriff US. it was evil then and its evil now

like regardless of the tarriff situation now, pre-trump was not and should not be considered "the good ol days". out-of-season fruits year-round are stained with as much blood as the same fruits but $5 more expensive. every convenience in the US comes at the cost of exploitation in the global south
