I see them as working to accomplish the same goal. We can't just have one big leader at the top. We also need to have more engagement in the House and Senate. And we desperately need young people to get interested in the Democratic party

Thank you.

We brought this on ourselves

I was thrilled to vote for Obama

I'm just very depressed. At the beginning of Trump 1.0 I thought he'd surround himself with smart people who would limit the damage, that courts would rule against him, that if things got bad enough Republicans would abandon him en mass. Obviously, that didn't happen

And look at the atrocities they committed in 12 years, not to mention WW2

The right wing of the court apparently required the demands of returning Garcia to be watered down with terms like "facilitate" instead of "effectuate." Trump says facilitate means go only has to help return Garcia if El Salvador releases him.

JFC, how do we maintain hope?

Every week is a new nightmare with actions worse and more dangerous than the previous week. How does the Signal chat compare to plans to deport American Citizens to El Salvador?

I'd like to believe SCOTUS will either say Trump's actions are not part of his core constituional duty, or they would reverse their immunity decision all together, but I fear they are spineless or ready to make Trump a dictator

I think Republican leaders actually support what Trump is doing.

That's giving him too much credit. I believe he's evil and enjoys what he's doing. I believe he would take enormous pleasure in throwing people into concentration camps, or simply having them lined up against the wall and shot on his orders

Pretty sure they'll claim it's because the men were in Guantanamo

God I want her to be our next president

What makes this so maddening is that they are legal firms. They should be most able to resist as lawsuits are literally their bread and butter

I don't know how America survives with our cancerous right wing media poisoning or country with propaganda

Even if they are pardoned, they should be sent to the Hague for crime against humanity

My dream is that the rise of Trump ripples through the world's democracies and drives voters to recognize the threat of the right wing in every country, leading to mass victories for progressives

Until we know what she was there for and doing, I'll withhold judgment.

Unfortunately, MAGA will believe Trump when he blames it on Democrats.

How many have resisted?

I'm so sorry for what you're going through

God I hope so. But I fear right wing media will just shift its propaganda to support Vance and MAGA will gobble it up. God we are so fucked

We need to celebrate wins, even when they're modest

Sadly, the big law firms and their clients are the type of insanely wealthy people who are fine with Trump so long as they get a tax cut. A handful of big Wall Street types are realizing Trump is crazy and pushing us into an international financial crisis. But it's likely too little too late

God I hope they itemize everything the tariffs are making more expensive on every receipt

That's a relief. But we have to bring back everyone else

And the world got involved in the Balkans to end the fighting. Not everything was great everywhere, but by the end of the 90s we were doing things right

Actually, the biggest reason for the decline is automation. In 1980 an auto factory employed 20,000 people. A Hyundai factory that just opened in the US will employ 1,500. And just like farm labor, do Americans really want to work in sweat shops sewing garments?
