To be fair @nytimes.com did put this pic & headline on the front page contrasting #NoKings with the pathetic spectacle of Trump's military parade. But only in print not on the website where the story quickly got buried and it doesn't even show how few people went to Trump's failed spectacle. 3/3

The NYT headline writes thousands instead of millions? hmmm... literally three orders of magnitude off. @nytimes.com if you want your readers to believe you haven't gone full fascist appeasement mode than we expect a front page CORRECTION asap! #NoKings 2/3

And when I say unchecked, corporate-controlled A.I. is a grave threat to our collective future I mean the kind of things outlined in this NYT piece like: "epistemic coup" Shoshana Zuboff "...growing into modern-day empires" @karenhao.bsky.social "five-alarm fire" @moonalice.com Gift Link👇

And sure calling out Trump and everyone that is part of elevating him to his self-proclaimed King-like role was the focus of the day. But let's not forget our Vice President aka the Trump mini-me. 6/7

I hope Democrats can honor the tragedy of Speaker Hortman's political assassination by taking political action to save lives: Like demanding Trump/GOP apologize for their violent, dehumanizing rhetoric. Like calling to end ICE raids that are dividing the country & ban law enforcement masking.

Also plenty of good political advice including highlighting the role of tech workers in propping up the fascism and general tips for the Democrats on how to become an actual opposition party. 3/7

But if one sign summed up how California is feeling after a week in which the Trump regime has tried to terrorize us with ICE raids, illegally sent troops into the streets of LA, threatened to arrest our Governor and manhandled our Senator... this might be it. Rise up & fight fascism! #NoKings 7/7

Not to mention a kind of politically ambiguous T-shirt that appears to be referencing my motherland and some of the hobbies that have come to be associated with it...? 5/7

Throw in a little spooky guerrilla theater to capture how wrong AF the Trump regime's blatantly fascist policies are. #NoKings 4/7

I am always impressed how street marches bring out people's creativity and great sense of humor as expressed in hilarious signs. Today at Oakland #NoKings there were a lot of ICE jokes, including this boba one & plenty of Andor signs, even one held by a real life Jedi...Take that empire! 2/7

Beautiful people from all walks if life, highlighting different issues with great wit and creativity, uniting to resist a wannabe dictator. This is what multiracial democracy looks like and make no mistake: we are stronger than greed, stronger than fear, stronger than fascism. #NoKings

I'm trying to keep up with the Orwellian lexicon for state-sanctioned killing. Israel starving Palestinians in Gaza is "self-defense." Israel preemptively attacking Iran is "self-defense." So when Iran counter-attacks Israel is that also "self-defense" or is there now some other term for that?

The US empire has been hiding in plain sight for generations. Our tax dollars enrich the weapons industry to fund militarism that terrorizes people around the world. But here in America we're told we export democracy. It's a dissociative identity disorder I like to call the Imperial Mullet:

Hundreds in the streets of SF from all walks of life: singing, chanting. Here’s one of several awesome drumming crews providing the rhythm to our resistance. Together we are uniting to stop state kidnapping and say #AbolishICE #NoKings #ImpeachTrump

CORRECTION: 478 Tehama (near 6th & Howard) is not an ICE office. It is apparently the offices of ISAP one of the private contractors working with ICE.
