Spending FEMA money to violate sacred land so they can build a concentration camp in a state that’s just entering hurricane season is the most MAGA move I can think of. They deserve a Gatorcaine 🌀 🐊

is the killing fields. Us or them. Plan accordingly.” Yep, he said that. He’s repeatedly disparaged gays (he’s obsessed tbh) and regularly uses the “r” word like the 7th grade bully he never grew past. He’s *still* the GOP chair of Tarrant County. Mike Lee & Bo French are both fucking psychopaths.

No, but the calls would be documented and there would be a record.

I’m glad you reconciled too. Probably saved us both a lot more anguish. My grandfather and two of his brothers all served in WWII. My great uncle was a tail gunner on a B-24. His plane went down somewhere over the Channel. How are we having a parade for a U.S. fascist dictator 80 years after VE Day?

Thank you so much. ❤️ I’d only reconciled with him 2 years earlier after 22 years of estrangement. My Vietnam vet Dad who had been in the Navy for 20 years went from being a Republican to a Progressive in the years I missed. I’m almost glad he’s not here to see this. He saw MAGA as such a betrayal. 😞

The unexpectedness of it and the pure kindness in the gesture was something I’ll never forget. He then said in my ear: “if you ever need another hug, I bet you could get one from anyone who works here.” I waited til I got to the car to cry. I’d just lost my Dad. I’m so sorry for your loss. 🐾 🌈

A couple months back I was at Trader Joe’s chatting with the cashier (college age dude) and when he asked how I was, I admitted I was having a hard time and needed a hug. I wasn’t asking for one—that’s not the way I said it. But he immediately ran around the counter and said: I’ll give you a hug!

FYI, if you are over 65 and it’s been at least 6 months since your last covid vaccine, you can get a booster. Might want to jump on that or tell your parents & grandparents.

obliviously voted for this. Or worse, couldn’t be bothered to vote. But seriously—even the MAGA cult thought annexing Canada was ridiculous. I like Carney enormously and I’m happy for you guys.

and we are collectively absorbing that we live under fascism now. That’s a crazy-making, surreal as fuck, fact. It’s demoralizing and painful and we vacillate between dozens of emotions daily. We are despised globally. And you bet that we can never forget that 80 million other Americans purposely or

I wrote a reply but it’s so ridiculously long. I’m obviously not sleeping again tonight but that has nothing to do with you. Your arguments still oversimplify what is a very dumb-looking, but complicated, still bewildering, unpredictable reality. Civil war is very possibly right around the corner

was much bigger than a simple election and that the people who used Trump aren’t a global threat. Whatever.

38 years of my life as an activist in Texas and Oregon married to someone who works for a Canadian company but yeah, I don’t know what I’m talking about. I don’t want to fight with you. See us, don’t see us, judge us, hold us in contempt for not fighting like Canadians would, don’t accept that this

journalists who are documenting everything they can. When you have militarized police, the most successful cult leader in history, a coup that’s been in the works for half a century, media owned by billionaires, undermined education, a populace armed to the teeth, a Supreme Court and Congress

Sigh. I’m tired of some of our Canadian friends making assumptions that fighting fascism and oligarchy funded by the richest billionaires in the world 24/7 is simple and straightforward. And that Americans are apathetic or just not fighting back hard enough. There are dozens of independent

Getting shipped off to live the rest of your life in a radically harsh foreign prison with no proof of guilt, no chance to fight the charges, and never to see your family again is so horrific. I still can’t believe that so many of my fellow Americans are totally fine with this bizarre cruelty.
