Seems legit.... We don't want to be a nation of underachieving Americans.

Brown had to go - he was serving his country while black.

Let me help those who just get mad and post. It will take years and possibly decades to build infrastructure anywhere in Ukraine to be able to mine these minerals. Then, the biggest refiner is China. It will take a decade for the first $ If Zelensky gets what he wants, who benefits the most ?

For those at the back…

Gangs of New York NY’s Governor&MTA sue President Trump for blocking congestion tolls, accusing his transport dept of interference. Leading their fight?same lawyer who beat Trump in his assault case, winning millions. What seemed like a basic traffic dispute now feels like a Gangs of New York showdown

I'm just saying...

Today's front page of The New York Post.

I think, we all need to let out a little steam, so, here it goes, FUCK YOU ELON!

Medicaid is not for sale. NASA is not for sale. The Post Office is not for sale. America is not for sale. We have an obligation to resist kings. We outnumber them. And they can be overwhelmed.

The EU stepping in when the Russian compromised leader of the United States won't.

WHY does Trump want NATO to fail?

Truth

“What merit means to them” General Brown’s record, which Hegseth questioned for obvious reasons: www.af.mil/About-Us/Bio...

This will make our troops less safe. Again, he's building a significant amount of backlash and stepping on a lot of toes. The Pentagon never created a job if there wasn't a need for it. And why anyone would celebrate people losing their jobs whether corporate or government is beyond me.

I've often insisted that we need to keep our eyes on Trump's actions more than his words (because so many of the words are bluster & lies). Now we have a genuinely dangerous action: a purge at the Pentagon, notably a purge of the top figures who can decide if Trump's commands are unconstitutional.

CQ Brown was my first boss as a brand new F-16 pilot at Homestead AFB, FL. He was the squadron weapons officer, basically the best pilot in the squadron. He is a great pilot and even better man. CQ- if you ever need a wingman give me a call. I’ll follow where you lead.

Let's say their names: * General CQ Brown, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff: FIRED FOR BEING BLACK * Admiral Lisa Franchetti, Chief of Naval Operations: FIRED FOR BEING FEMALE * Admiral Linda Fagan, Coast Guard Commandant: FIRED FOR BEING FEMALE All replaced by less qualified white guys.

Booze chugging Hegseth and notorious TFG (the felon grifter) chose to fire CQ Brown just in time for Black History Month.

Hegseth’s biography is on the left, General Brown’s on the right. Go read these to someone without telling them who they are and then ask them to choose who is better qualified to hold the positions of SECDEF and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Thank you for dedicating your lives to serving our country, General Brown and Admiral Franchetti. Even though your paths were cut short, you blazed a trail for many of us behind you. Americans are better prepared to defend our country, our allies, and our partners because of your leadership.

in the trump administration, “merit” is pronounced “white” like how strom thrumond said it.

There will be retribution. The incoming FBI director published a book that includes an enemies list. In a weird, backhanded compliment, he told Steve Bannon that I am an “enemy of the Republican Party. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/ther...

The poster child for white male mediocrity, Pete Hegseth, is firing qualified Black men and women from the military.

Rep Raskin has been great. Rep Ocasio-Cortez has been great. And Rep Frost and Rep Crockett. Senator Murphy. Maybe no one knew exactly what to do. But such people laid down a clear marker. Let’s respect these and other elected federal representatives who stood out these first few weeks.

It has been a long and grueling week. Thank you to everyone who offered kind words of support. If you want to follow everything happening to democracy in court, while also supporting pro-democracy independent media, please sign up for Democracy Docket. www.democracydocket.com/me-subscribe...

ProPublica has released another study related to the effects of abortion bans in the U.S., this time showing a spike in sepsis cases in Texas following the implementation of that state's "heartbeat" abortion ban in 2021.

Dear @cnn.com, The judge did not “vacate” the trial. He adjourned it. Then he appointed an amicus curiae to argue against dismissing the charges. Who writes your headlines?

So they removed the black chairman of the Joint Chiefs in the middle of his 4-year tour, without cause, and they're seeking to replace him with a white **retired** Air Force three-star general who lacks the requisite experience as a service chief or combatant commander? Huh, how about that

The Pentagon is now pausing their mass firing of civilian employees in order to evaluate potential impacts on military readiness. I’m just spitballing here, but maybe a readiness assessment should have been the first step. 🤦‍♂️

Today’s cover of the Murdoch-owned New York Post

đź’Ą Apple is upholding its commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). Despite attack from right-wing anti-DEI shareholder activists -- the same anti-DEI group that targeted Costco. And just like Costco, look for Apple shareholders to tell anti-DEI activists to take a hike on Feb 25.

"Should the court grant the motion, it would be the first lawsuit against DOGE where the plaintiffs are able to obtain evidence, albeit limited, on how Elon Musk’s faux agency is operating within the federal government." www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

He's taken the prize of "Most Dangerous Immigrant In History" from Rupert Murdoch.

I don't think the Dems can stop the firings. But why aren't they proposing legislation that assures those that took the buyout get paid , and that all that are fired, get at least a year severance and health benefits? And any one with a health condition is covered the entire time they are sick?

Holy shit! You’ve got to see this town hall. Republicans are starting to get torn apart by their own constituents. Rep. Rich McCormick: “You don’t think I’m going to stand up for you?” Woman in the crowd: “You need to stand up.” Another woman: “Don’t bend over.” 🔥

Laid-off IRS employee said he had voted for Trump: "I thought that someone with his business acumen would have come in with a fine-tooth comb and actually found it instead of coming in with a wrecking ball and destroying people’s lives for no reason." www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/local/p...

It would be far less time-consuming to just document when he tells the truth. shorturl.at/tohgb

Carville: USAID spent $41 billion the federal budget is 6 trillion. Actually comes to something like .014%. So take that and put it against the 6 trillion and see what you have done when your president is responsible for more federal debt than any president in the history of the United States.

This.
