Promised my adult kid we could go to the theatre in that London. Booked My Neighbour Totoro. Flights from Denmark are now so extortionate that for the same price we are essentially using a Cunard cruise ship as a ferry. Can't wait for the "Cunarders" to get a load of us.

One of the worst bits about being an indie is asking for support. Hate doing it, but it's the only way we keep going/try to grow. I pay for my own coffee, if it helps.

I refused to see much written about The Substance, just watched it. Bloody hell, amazing. I don't know what else to say, I need to sit down with it a bit.

Hi, can I ask a favour please. Do you have a Youtube account? Can I ask you to subscribe to my channel (m.youtube.com/@Jeanie_Finlay? ). It would be very helpful to get over 1000 subscribers for very boring reasons. THANK YOU ❤️ A picture of Dolly in my favourite wig era, for the algorithm

Age yourself with a cartoon you watched as a kid. Still obsessed to be honest.

My 11 year old nephew when he doesn't get McDonalds for tea.

Every mind-bending TV show:

I wrote about Bong's new joint.

Absolutely loved Mickey 17. Pattinson, Ackie, Yeun all absolutely fantastic as usual. Still cannot at all understand how Ruffalo gets so much praise. But there we go. Did love the suitably unhinged Collette. Bong Yoon-ho gives a masterclass in empathy as always.

***Taps the sign again.

Apparently Tesla isn't selling any cars which also means it's not selling carbon credits. It made 2.7 billion in carbon credits last year. Carbon credits is largely what has kept the company afloat

I mean. American mates, other than the obvious, riot. Imagine what a creme brulee is costing you (I doubt you get that at "Jim's" but you get my drift).

Lots of people who claim to be horrified at the US govt's treatment of Zelensky won't bat an eyelid at this.

Age yourself with a movie you saw in theaters. 3 years old. Very, very frightened. Hid behind the seat in front.

It's my husband's birthday today, legendary date of birth.

I can’t take it. “some see”? Just us paranoid race-obsessed people? The absolute refusal to identify racism unless it involves metal chains or burning crosses is an article of faith for so many media outlets and courts. It’s sickening. And it’s part of why we have a country that is so incapacitated.

Milchick most interesting person on Severance by a substantial margin. A character who would be a collection of wacky tics in the hands of a lesser actor feels like a genuine, almost bottomless enigma thanks to Tramell Tillman. I'm desperate to know his deal and I never want to actually learn it.

The brilliant @jeaniefinlay.com 's documentary on Aubrey Gordon #yourfatfriend on BBC4 28th January. Watch it. it is Brilliant and vital (as all of Jeanie's wonderful films are). This from last year's Guardian www.theguardian.com/film/2024/ja...

You were spectacular David. Thank you, for everything.

Alright, writers. Take a cue from Lynch: go be your weird damn selves and leave some fucking art in this world before you're gone.

Fascists love to tell us that their numbers are great. They hate hearing that our numbers are also great. They want us to think we have a them problem, and we do. But we should not forget to give them an us problem. www.the-reframe.com/fighting-in-...

Watched The Holdovers last night, loved it. I was at boarding school from age 11-17 living around monks, nuns and other teachers that lived in. I thought it was a very impressive script. All the actors were phenomenal too.

Until I was very grown up I always thought Dean Martin was singing about Corn Ferpoppins which I assumed to be an American Christmas food. I imagined them to look like corn covered popovers, then when I watched Gentlemen Broncos I thought I had finally found the mythical Ferpoppin.

Went to see Home Alone at our local cinema in Denmark yesterday afternoon. Pretty decent turn out of all ages, lots of kids laughing their heads off in the back. The music, as always, made me blub.

Wow. Great trailer. #28YearsLater youtu.be/mcvLKldPM08?...

Some absolutely banging telly at the moment. Loving Silo, Shrinking and Before on Apple tv and just started Black Doves on Netflix last night. "Before" is my favourite at the moment, Billy Crystal is phenomenal in it.
