These U.S. cuts are a significant blow, yet we're fortunate that most of our funding comes from other sources, putting us in a position to meet the urgency of this moment. GiveDirectly.org/aidcuts

We’d already put in the upfront costs to prepare these programs, but now lack the cash to send out. We’re able to fill some of the gap with emergency funds, but currently only have enough to reach a fifth of those families. You can help: GiveDirectly.org/aidcuts

It's with happiness that I donated €15,000 to the program by @give-directly.bsky.social, helping families on the frontlines of climate change in Africa. The program hands out cash directly to low-income families in areas exposed to climate-related disasters. 3/ www.givedirectly.org/climate/

Cash aid allows wildfire survivors to meet their own needs, which is why people impacted by a crisis say they prefer cash relief over donated goods. www.givedirectly.org/cash-for-dis...

We deliver cash transfers in fragile contexts, including conflict zones (Eastern DRC, Northern Mozambique). We have not run any large studies on this work yet, but cash transfers are still impactful in these settings, both for emergency relief and even sustained poverty reduction.
