I think that the most appropriate pronunciation of “DOGE” is as “dodge” (a cunning trick or dishonest act, in particular one intended to avoid something unpleasant).

The Trump situation has shown him in such a bad light that for the first time I can imagine the ear shot being a setup. The shooter willingly offering his life, Trump faking it, blood packet, raised fist and all, even though random people in the crowd would die. Yes, he is that twisted and evil.

I may be slow, but I think I get what Trump is trying to do with universal tariffs. If all or most gov't revenue comes from tariffs rather than through income tax, then there will be very little progressiveness in the tax system. This shifts the load toward you and me and off the wealthy. Get it?

Why shouldn't all raw output from AI trained on publicly accessible material be in the public domain? If you want copyright protection, do it yourself, or at least creatively and materially revise the AI material. To make a profit, AI services can charge for access and/or receive government funding.
