For near real-time coverage of behind-the-scenes White House stuff (as well as the rest of D.C.), check out Andrew Leyden's (@penguinsix.bsky.social) YouTube output.

Sabine (zah-been-eh) is one of the few to take quantum physics, fusion, and AI headlines, to task. Critical of her take on Havana Syndrome for not calling it a fraud, I had accepted her Trans video without raised eyebrows, so would have seen her Krauss association an annoyance, not your aha moment.

It seems that Canada has *not* specifically targeted Tesla. Also the 10% on China is *additional* to existing tariffs that apparently go back to Trump's first presidency.

Mick West does a pretty decent preliminary analysis for folk who wonder how an airplane and a helicopter can be in the same place at the same time:

Eddie Muller asks about Pierre Claudé. Marco Sisi has him as the pseudonym of the concierge of the Hotel Majestic in Via Veneto in Rome. Tullio Kezich's Fellini bio suggests direttore/manager instead. Gerald Kuklinski, in a German review, makes him hotel owner. What if Pier Luigi was his real name?

Coincidence: "Ellen" was named after a Martian entity (The Elon) in a novel written by Nazi rocket scientist Wernher von Braun. Peter Sellers played von Braun as Dr. Strangelove in the Kubrick classic. Leaving his wheelchair and giving the Nazi salute: "Jawohl, mein Führer! I mean, Mr. President."

"Ellen" planned it. He also planned the accompanying patter and by starting the trick over his heart. What he did not plan was his facial expression which gives it away.

Indeed. His face counters the apologists who suggested (because the salute started over his heart) that "Ellen" was throwing heartfelt love/appreciation to the crowd.

There's a con in the White House: a felon
Whose intent is a cut of the melon.
His cohort-in-chief
Is a like-minded thief.
Succinctly, in a word, it is Elon.

The Musk Mars obsession apparently goes deeper than merely being a fan of science fiction. Jim Stewartson recently pointed out that a novel written by Nazi rocket scientist Wernher von Braun sported a Mars colony leader called "The Elon".

A quick Wikipedia look does suggest to me that there are similarities. Perhaps Carotta's approach was less conspiratorial.

Possibly "Jesus was Caesar" (2005) by Francesco Carotta. I am struggling to recall something more recent but I haven't been a serious book reader in decades (most of my book purchases circa the 1980s were reference). As a teenager in the late 1960s I was reading almost exclusively science fiction!

Hey Chris. Look up Graeme MacKay on Bluesky. He shares his political cartoons there and many of these directly address the Trump tension currently making a comeback. Also, be aware that many Canadians aren't that different from Americans. I fear what our next election will bring.
