Shudder. Cartoon by @bjennings90.bsky.social for the Guardian.

Fans of enormously unsubtle - and indeed titanic - metaphors will no doubt be thrilled by the United States losing its glamour, being gutted of anything valuable, and finally sunk forever for the sole benefit of Florida hoteliers...

Portuguese editorial cartoonist Zez Vaz reaches back to Tiananmen Square to call on American defiance.

I wrote this on the most consistently terrible, and fatal, idea in centrist politics today. On Fanta, rebadging, and why attempting to win votes from fascists is morally disgusting and politically suicidal. www.irishexaminer.com/lifestyle-co...

Just about sums it up

Page 1 of pop-sci books of "How to lie with statistics" shows this trick, fiddling with the vertical scale to make minor wobbles look more dramatic. It's easy to see through and - more importantly- is a very useful red flag of someone trying to pull the wool over your eyes.

I don’t remember this particular Grimm fairy tale, but I’m sure it exists…

Snow and steam on the top of the Brocken.

Make us proud, people!

It has snowed in Chicago and YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS! Time to remind everyone that we light our train tracks on fire to prevent the switches from freezing.

Awesome wifey is awesome. Just spent a splendid evening listening to Randall “xkcd” Monroe speak, hosted by Robin Ince- because she spotted the ad, knew without asking I’d want to go too, and was fast enough on the button to get seats.

How to abuse statistics: strong contender for World Champions...

So if it's a trade choice between: a) chlorinated chicken, plastic cheese, nasty chocolate and b) European food, beer & wine... ...I confess, I have a strong preference for the latter.

What's your sign?

"He ran on a platform of punishing his enemies, and his voters' imagined enemies, and they turned out in droves to give him that power even at the expense of making their own lives worse. One cannot say broadly of Americans We're better than this, because we're not."

Everyone is handling this their own way, and no question it's bad, but may I gently suggest that old bit wisdom we've seen over and over "Do not obey in advance" includes letting him suck all the joy out of your life before he even gets in office. Enjoy some art and escape a bit. Post some nonsense

Return of the sausages, is it?
