Is that Kim Jong Un celebrating the winner?
Suppose if he's going to support anyone it would be the Orient.

As this event took place at the Southbank Centre, every now and again I stumble on this image looking for something else on our archive.
It makes me jump, and then laugh, every single time.

Doncaster Rovers do, but it’s minimal, and they don’t engage with replies on here.

…So thank you to the curators of this exhibition @tate.bsky.social for including this John Harris work, and reminding me that art can not only be found anywhere, but it can be created and forged from anywhere too.

…That this mindset persist in me really speaks volumes of the way the pit villages and those of us who lived and grew up in them were ground down into acceptance of a status quo and very marked limits of what was possible for us…

…I always champion, and fall for, art that celebrates the everyday and yet I’d never think to draw a parallel between life in Rossington and visual art - represented in documentary yes, but a national gallery?…

…Some of the faces in it look familiar and I would’ve been at school with the kid in the buggy.
Seeing this in a gallery genuinely stunned me, in a way I didn’t expect…

There was a guy with a house that backed onto Hemsworth’s ground who not only had his own structure to watch from his garden, but had rigged up his own speaker to play the Match of the Day theme when the teams came out.

Yeah, I deliberately avoided them over Christmas so I could watch them this month. Had never seen Dial M for Murder or Casablanca before.
ITV had Rear Window on their streaming service for a couple of months last year - I must’ve watched it more than half a dozen times in those months

Ah thank you, that’s really kind of you. Enjoyed writing it - only challenge was trimming it from 8,000 words to the prerequisite 800.
Have a great Christmas, may your new year be full of crumbling terraces

Yesterday we said goodbye to James at a fitting service full of emotion, humour, brilliant words and wonderful music.
In James’ memory, a fundraiser has been set up to give support to sufferers of OCD.
You can donate to it, here: www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding...
