I spend far too much time on the internet. I hate it. I hate it so much. And that stuff is one of the biggest reason. If I wanted to spend time with a miserable dickhead who hates everything, I'd sit in a room by myself.

Most of these types have little to no self-awareness, and can often times come off as self-centered as fuck, and or they're British. The internet spends so much time reinforcing and feeding off, even rewarding, the act of being a caustic dick, it makes the internet a toxic cesspool.

And the older I get the more and more I hate these types of people. Especially if they are convinced of their own intelligence. I'm miserable all the time, and I can be a total asshole sometimes, and I know that it's far easier to wallow in that misery and lash out than the opposite.

And I'm not a great critic I'd say, but I know that it is far easier to crap out a tear down picking something apart piece by piece instead of preaching something's good aspects. Talking shit is the lowest and easiest form of critique.

But as I've grown older, I have realized, that cynicism and negativity aren't signs of intelligence, more often it just means the person is miserable or mean-spirited, and it's very easy to be both of those, it doesn't take a lot of brain power to wake up in a shit mood and lash out at people.

It made me feel bad, not only because they tore down things I liked, but because the intensity of it, the assuredness of the hatred was infectious. It bleed into me. Made me more cynical myself, and made me feel worse because I was too stupid to see how terrible things were for myself.

That isn't to say I didn't like it. I thought it was great, maybe even amazing. But I'll need some time to unpack my thoughts on it. Maybe give it an actual rewatch. Also, why is a lot of the best horror set in snowy places?

I think a lot of it comes from the idea that player freedom is the most important aspect of a game, and an open world means more freedom. The point about player freedom will differ depending on the person, but I think open worlds always being 'more free' is just false tbh

Everyone always ask what's up, but they never ask what's down. The thing that is up is bring tired.

I know, right? I feel like through the use of muting accounts, words, and using this button religiously, am I getting a feed that isn't filled overly muscled furry men and current politics. And that shit still sneaks through, there is just less of it.

The most I can think is to use music genres as descriptors, but even then, that is only a rough approximation, and sometimes music genres can be really granular and more about the vibe of the lyrics than anything else. And that's only helpful if you can easily identify music genres.

I feel like talking about video game music is always so nice. People talk about the stuff they like and gush over stuff. But talking about regular music, people are so much more judgey about your taste. It feels like if I say I like a band, Anthony Fantano is gonna pop outta trash can and shoot me.

This is perfection. It's just the correct amount dumb and clever to make it absolutely perfect.
